The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight. 2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. I just heard Cindy McCain reiterate that tired old neo-conservative talking point that “we have the best healthcare in the world” on a Today Show interview this morning. The problem is they are measuring with their big egos, not with scientific data or overall outcomes. How could we be the best with nearly 50 million uninsured, and so many underinsured? How could we be the best when you could be denied care for having been sick in the past or becoming sick at any time? What about infant mortality rates and C-section deliveries? Has Mrs. McCain forgotten about the rise in chronic illness, obesity, cancer, and preventable deaths? She mentioned that she was happy her son came home from his tour of duty. But what about the new mothers who cannot afford to be at home with their children for more than a few weeks (if even) after birth, because our current employer based/for-profit healthcare system forces them back to their stagnant-wage jobs? The neo-cons will be disgraced when healthcare reform with a strong public option passes and succeeds. They’ll have to explain why they were denying Americans such basic rights for so long.
The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. I’m quite proud of my work for and with President Obama. If you look at all the blogs I’ve written, I have been correct in my views most all of the time, with superb timing, and a woman’s intuition like no other. While the media likes the ups and downs and the controversies of politics, I let my values and my integrity guide me. Tonight, I hope the so-called “Blue Dog” Democrats can find their values and integrity, lest they be destroyed for their two-faced support of the status quo vs. healthcare reform.
Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. 5 The righteousness of the blameless makes a straight way for them, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness. It seems the Blue Dogs are worried about the loss of campaign funding for the next election. They need to be worried about the loss of our country as we know it, when the status quo forces us over that proverbial economic crisis cliff we came so close to last fall 2008. They need to be worried about the swine flu and other pandemics turning epidemic. They need to be worried about judgment day, when God asks them how they served the needy. If they can do the right thing, and make healthcare for all a reality, then they will be taken care of, have successful careers, and enjoy the security of the most powerful nation in the world.
The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by evil desires. We all know that money and fear of poverty is what is holding moderates back from delivering real healthcare reform. Should they choose to continue to deny Americans this basic human right, (as defined by the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights), they will find themselves trapped in an ever more miserable condition. But, if they pass healthcare reform and see it through to success, we can be delivered from evil and make great good progress.
When a wicked man dies, his hope perishes; all he expected from his power comes to nothing. As for the neo-conservatives, they can staunchly oppose CHANGE if they want to, but they will all die in due time. What good will their “waterloo” be in the grave? They can use hateful rhetoric to try to gin up support for violence, but they can’t kill us all, and even if they could, our spirit will live on for eternity.
The righteous man is rescued from trouble, and it comes on the wicked instead. Every time the neo-cons try to destroy Obama it either fails, or backfires, or both. It’s a little secret method I like to call “Boomerang Karma” where it doesn’t matter what they say or what they do, we win and they lose.
With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous escape. 10 When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.By ruling with fear instead of love, division instead of unity, ignorance instead of wisdom, the neo-cons and their moderate enablers set themselves up for revolt (i.e. CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN), weakness due to lack of numbers (i.e. WE ARE ONE), and folly (i.e. YES WE CAN)
Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed. 12 A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue. 13 A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret. 14 For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure. Republican talking points are gifts to the Democrats, because they’re so predictable and blatantly false most of the time. Time will always reveal the truth and justice will always prevail. The people who repeat back these talking points like automatons can be easily identified, and therefore handily out-smarted. All we need to do now is use intelligent, clear, honest rhetoric and terminology, take the actions that must be taken, bide our time, and let go and let God.
He who puts up security for another will surely suffer, but whoever refuses to strike hands in pledge is safe. 16 A kindhearted woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth. 17 A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man brings trouble on himself. 18 The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward. Sarah Palin has been the “new face of the GOP” for long enough now for us to know that she suffers a lack of a real agenda. Her martyrdom is and always will be fruitless.
The truly righteous man attains life, but he who pursues evil goes to his death. 20 The LORD detests men of perverse heart but he delights in those whose ways are blameless. It may be time for Dick Cheney to check his pacemaker before he meets his maker.
Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free. Each Obama success is a Bush/GOP punishment.
Like a gold ring in a pig's snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion. Michelle Bachman and her fellow self-hating neo-conservative women are great examples of this waste of opportunity in return for filth and slander.
The desire of the righteous ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in wrath. 24 One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. 25 A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. 26 People curse the man who hoards grain, but blessing crowns him who is willing to sell. 27 He who seeks good finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who searches for it. 28 Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf. Treating people’s health as a for-profit commodity has got to stop. But, there is a much more profitable way, and it’s called the Golden Rule, or treat others as you want to be treated (This means YOU, rich people!) What if rich people were denied life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness simply because they couldn’t afford it? Welcome to God’s Kingdom, where there is only One Master.
He who brings trouble on his family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise. The neo-cons may have hijacked our progressive message to think about the future generations. But their hypocrisy will lead to their punishment, because new generations of GOP members will be ever more in decline.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. Remember the crowd of some 1.4 million on the Washington Mall for the inauguration? Or, the celebrations at each point of victory for Obama? Well, all this will be multiplied when it comes time to celebrate the passage of healthcare for all Americans!
If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner! We were made in God’s image, meaning we have a free will with the ability to both create and destroy. The choice our Congress has to make now, is which forces they will choose; the forces of creativity and progress or the forces of destruction and decline?
