America must leave our habit of treating other humans as disposable. Humans are not disposable. Ever. And it should not be easy to dispose of people when we find excuses to dispose of them in war, with criminal prosecution, and medical procedures.

Our leaders, like Senator McCain, continue to keep America captivated by violence when we conveniently find reasons to "kick people to the curb" when their views disagree with us, or their existence imposes upon us a responsibility.

Joking about waiting for people to die from cigarette smoke, or bombing people CANNOT ever be a source of entertainment.

I have the audacity to hope that this November, America can take a step towards maturing as a nation, and leave our juvenile tolerance for violence, and the leaders who embody it, behind us.
