I've been away on vacation for a week with very little access to TV or the internet. I was able to get on this afternoon and the first thing I saw was the news about Tim Russert. Very shocking news. I can't believe how sad I am about this. My family doesn't even know who Tim Russert was, let alone why it would make me sad, so I thought of all of you and wanted to check in.
I'll be back on Saturday evening. I feel really out of touch and I'm wondering what else I might have missed this week.

The tornado's, the floods, the earthquake. You only missed things that seemed to take up most of the news day. lol
Here in Iowa we are still cleaning up. My basement still needs pumping about every 20 min or so. I am tired sick and upset because I spent sometime on the McCain site and see quite a few Hillary people over there, or else just some McCain people pretending to be McCain people.
I think I need sleep.
I know that 98 percent of the 18 Mil, that voted for Hillary will come around. We need some Hillary love, and soon.

Just back from Alaska so I know how you feel Nancy. I was able to keep track some as I said last Blog on CNN but never enough. However, when we got to Anchorage I was able to get MobiTV on my Treo and was thrilled to hear all of Al Gore's speech but not Barack's response. Laura, so sorry about all of the floods in IA we have been keeping up because of our son in Des Moines. It is so tiring to deal with the stress of keeping everything dry enough. I too was sooo sad about Tim--he helped Barack in so many ways because he was fair. Anyway, Alaska was totally amazing. I hadn't realized that only 650,000 people live in the whole state.
Keep HOPE shining.

Just days away from taking that lovely flight over the Pacific to the Hawaiian Islands! Hopefully being there will re-energize me and keep me returning to the blog... :-( Sheesh, it's getting crazy again!
Hope all is well wherever you are, especially my fellow Iowans dealing with flooding and cleanup, not to mention the mosquitos these days...
