Thank you MSNBC for re-airing Senator Obama's political journey tonight during prime time. It was so impressive the way he advocates for those who don't have a voice, resisting Corporate America and using his Law Degree for that purpose as well.

I have spent that last hour emailing Clinton's "Law of Politics" to variou media outlets including Lou Dobbs, Jack Cafferty, NY Times, MSNBC, Fox, CNN, Washington Post, etc. I just feel that if they are going to mock this notion of "Hope", the public should know that that is a word they live by in politics according to Bill Clinton!

Hillary is embarrassing me to death when she will not stop "using"---"how hard it is for a woman out there". Yikes!

Duh, Hillary. WE know how "hard" it is for a woman out there. In fact, while you were woman world conferencing it would have been a decent piece of legislature for you to put back on the table the passing of the ERA ammendment. Huh, huh! But no, you really aren't about woman's issues.

But whining and saying every single day and moment about how Unfair everything is in this campaign is obtuse!

Cut it out! There are woman throughout the entire world as leaders, including Central and South America. Get Real. They don't whine! They don't say it is unfair! They use their own womanly voice and syntax and rule.

I am ashamed at how you prop yourself up as the woman underdog. Whining is not Presidential my dear. Will never do.

Woman must move into power but the right one, please. You have too many dirty little secrets such as notes from the WH, taxes... Follow the money... You are not our woman for this job this time around. You are experienced is correct, experienced with dirty money and dirty politics. Obfiscation and lies.

I am so tired of hearing from the media how Hillary has been treated poorly because she is a woman. They forget to add that she is a woman with a man's voice! If we are to have a woman then we need a woman's voice. Not the over compensating syntax of the 1970s. Please.

Let a new generation of woman come forth without the baggage.

Sorry BO Folks. This whining mantra of Hill's is infuriating me, because I don't want her to ruin the good chances of woman in the future. This "unfair" discussion needs a round table, but not on the campaign for Presidential office.

Because nothing has been actually "unfair" for her except that she is not getting her coronation!

Two things burn me about McCain's position on the war. (And remember: HIllary helped drive the bus into the ditch.)

One, the "surge" is not a strategy. He keeps saying that the surge is working. The generals went along with the name "the surge" because they're too busy fighting the war to worry about marketing and branding. But a "surge" is not a strategy; it is a logistical means to support a strategy. And McCain has confused the success that comes with more manpower (and superior combat power by any sense of the definition) with strategic and political success. Of course if you put more boots on the ground, especially more American boots, you're going to get the job done. But are you going to change the geopolitical landscape of Iraq so that those troops can come home? No, obviously, because a year later, nothing has changed.

Second, he belittles Obama by saying that we're still in Germany, Japan, and Korea, so of course we'll still be in Iraq in 100 years, and Obama doesn't understand that. What McCain doesn't understand is that we are not still in Panama or Grenada: military action does not equate to a mandatory forced presence forever. Germany, Korea, and Japan are all historical context dependent. In fact, Germany and Japan paid us to remain long after the reason for being there was gone, and the Korean War technically never ended, so that is a very unique situation. McCain says Obama isn't ready to be CinC and doesn't understand military history. I saw, McCain is mixing apples and oranges... no, apples and turnips in making a stretch of an argument to score political points.

You wrote some good Sunday morning text! Hillary has cried foul her entire life. Something she apparently does have 35 years experience doing, based on Mar 3 Newsweek article, "How They Have Lost" p. 28. The article captures everything you have talked about here. When Bill ran for Congress in 1974 and lost by 6,000 votes, Hillary immediately cried foul play. She said "call the U.S. Attorney's Office, we've got to make sure they don't steal this election." I try and be careful not to bash her too much because while I want to believe with all of my heart that Ohio, Texas, Vermont, and yes, even R.I. will pull through for the big O, if they don't, I will have to find those things I like about Hillary. I spearheaded a group of women and we sent out 1,400 personal letters to women in Ohio this past two weeks. The strongest hope for women is to to believe in themselves - something Michelle and Barack give to us - even us 50-something white women in Idaho.

I agree that many people seem to be tired of Hilary playing the victim, saying she's been treated unfairly because she's a woman. Whether or not it's "fair" the point is that whining about it is not helping her. As a female working full-time in a male-dominated profession (software engineer) I've often encountered situations and policies I thought were UNFAIR to women but I've learned to stop and ask myself, What is the best way to change it? What approach is going to work best here? Because if I handle it wrong, it's only going to backfire and I think that's what's happening with Hilary.

If a woman truly feels she's being treated unfairly because of her gender she should definitely take some action, but the action ideally should be something that is going to help her position, not harm it.

You definitely nailed it!

There will be a big push today by Hillary to get out the women's vote. The women who have made excuses for her throughout this campaign.

But there are many women like me out there who see through it, and know in our hearts that America is in desperate need of what Obama offers us and what he asks of us.

It will be tight on Tuesday. But when you think of all the mud that was slung last week, he has still erased her double digit leads and has millions of Americans involved and invested in working with this man to make America great again.

My doggie is really failing today. We're hoping he lasts the day but it's not looking good -- trust me, you guys don't want me on the phone today.

But here and there when I take a minute to come to the computer, I want all of your to know that this 57 and Female supporter is sending powerful, strength-building good vibes to all of you.

Hello and Good Afternoon women of the world,

Thanks for letting me have a moment in this space to have that expression. It takes a lot of time for us to compose our thoughts on these blogs and we do hope to be relevant and as many of you have pointed out not to bash. Same here again, I have been wanting to say something before but didn't wish to come off like a scream or bash, but we women are important and we need to be part of this process for the future good of our government and society. We have fought long and hard battles and should be proud of a woman running for the highest office in our land.

I am proud of her on that level. But I not only don't agree with her policies, but her TONE.

There is a blog group throughout these blogs called Women for Obama. Perhaps that is a good spot for some of you to venture for further discussions, etc.

To Faith: Thoughts out to you with your dear pet dog. I did spend quiet time with my pet a year ago and "asked" it to tell me what to do next and when. I actually got an answer! (of action, of course!) Best thoughts out to you today.

By the way, yes I am over 54 this month, glad to have the company of many of you!

I tried to reach you earlier and ask you what was wrong with your pooch.

Is it parvo or old age. If it is parvo, which is the aids of dogs (actually rhino virus, common cold germ) if this is so, most vets will tell you they will give them fluids and hope for the best. I have had dogs that were failing when they caught it and the key is to catch it within 72 hours. Use the packets of Chicken boullion in the oodles of noodles package. Then give the dog water and chicken broth every three to four hours. It's like that flu that's been going around, and will make them weak and vomitous, but the key is to keep them hydrated with a dose of garlic in the broth.

I have saved many dogs, at least a dozen in my life time. In fact in Sept when my sister came her dogs contracted it from NJ and came here to VA with it. Tearfully she came to me thinking because the dog had it she was a gonner.

When I didn't get upset and told her what to do, she calmed down and did it. (Her dog was rectally bleeding by now) I saved her dog. So if the dog appears to have a bad flu or is withering away before you eyes and the eyes are glassy, START RIGHT AWAY! I pray you get this in time and I will look further down in the blogs to see if you are still here.

IMPORTANT: Use a turkey baster to give the liquids, by placing the baster behind the back teeth which will be clenched, slowly allow the dog to take the fluids at their own pace. a tablespoon or two at a time. It will lubricate the throat and use the muscles that will try to seize during the course of the desease.

It works, and this is to anyone that runs into that type of problem. The herbs in chicken soup that we use build the dogs immune system. Garlic is a natural antibiotic against most virals and influenza types.

TV REVIEWS SNL

I watched SNL last night and I must say the HRC campaign made
mistake # 999. That show is hands down not funny.
That debate sketch...tired and really bad. Are they going to run this week after week?
SNL just brought to my attention that they need new writers.
Young people today do not watch this show.
It was painful to watch skit after skit fail to deliver a laugh. Loved the movie Juno but I am now doubting Ellen Paige's acting ability.

The MSM has been taking it in waves. Some weeks they go at them hard. last couple of weeks they've been out to show that they do not favor Barack Obama. They are like a bad referee who messed a few calls and makes "make up calls". Anytime you have that, the game is ruined.

Barack has been telling us all along that change is hard. The way we have recently been attacked from all sides is exactly what he means.

There are basically two reasons why Hillary and McCain are leveling the same attacks against us: 1) It is in both of their short-term political self-interests: and 2) They are both opposed to the kind of change we want to bring to the country.

It is in Hillary's short-term self-interest to tear down Barack so that she can get the nomination. It is in McCain's short-term self-interest to tear down Barack so that he can run against an easier opponent in the fall.

Hillary wants to prevent our movement from bringing about change in the Democratic Party. She and Bill are heads of the old Democratic Party and they want to keep it just the way it is. Therefore, her attacks are intended to prevent us from bringing about change within the party. McCain wants to prevent our movement from bringing about change in America. Therefore, he is making the same kind of anti-change attacks that Hillary is making.

This is our cold, hard political reality. We are facing two formidable foes at the same time: one from within the Democratic Party and the other from outside the Democratic Party. Both foes are trying to prevent us from bringing about change. This is a great test for us. If we can beat back both of these foes at the same time, it demonstrates that we have the fortitude it will require to change our country. Let's get to work.

This new Anti-Obama-Camp, uniting Bill & Hillary, McCain and Bush and a lot of the corporate media against us, shows just one thing: that Obama is in deed absolutely credible as a non-establishment alternative.
We should take pride in being attacked from this sort of circles, but not get too much intrigued by what they do or say.
Just keep on convincing ordinary people patiently - and everything will go fine.
Raise the level of politics and debate.
This is, where the endless insults will crumble sooner or later.

I have never seen the kind of onslaughts Obama took this week. Bill Clinton, at his worst moments, never had to take the sheer mountain of mud that Barack took this week.

And what happened? Barack still closed her double digit leads of a few weeks ago to a draw (today). We are accustomed to seeing his numbers soar. He still did not take a hit that is going to change the dynamics of the race that much.

That being said, if older women and Latinos mobilize for HIllary on Tuesday, we won't see the numbers we'd like to see. So it is critical that our people vote in overwhelming numbers. We've done it before. We'll do it again.

No matter what, we'll show Hillary that she's not the only "fighter" in the race. She doesn't own that word. We know he's the best choice for America right now -- we have numbers, we've donated time, money, our hearts and souls -- and we're not done by a long shot!

We give each other energy and inspiration. We help each other. We support each other. That's the kind of people we are and the kind of movement we're creating. That's what Barack has asked of us, and that's what we supply to each other. Sometimes it's big steps, sometimes it's smaller ones. But we are a formidable force for the first president in my lifetime to actually represent the people.

We the People. We're in it for the long haul.

They fell for the SNL women's whine and didn't once mention the fact that Americans are tired of our government officials being out of touch with the constituents NEEDS and that HRC is part of the 28yrs of bickering and back biting that has caused the gridlock we have today the elder DLC members who just seek to keep power for their lobbyist buddies, that line their pockets, for the earmarks for corporations.

I said if Obama doesn't get it I will vote for an Independent. I simply can't go backwards anymore, and I miss the America's Pioneering Spirit and leadership, that has wone the respect of the World as a smart and compassionate friend and country. Championing the underdog, in a world built on taking Mom and Pop out. No benefits, while these same corporations create bio-germ bugs for war.

Enough, We the people are wide awake and mad as hell, even if Barack weren't in the race, We have seen the folly of our ways, and Bush and Rove have awakened a sleeping giant and since the debts have extended to our grandchildren, We are mad as hell and ain't gonna take it anymore.

Thank you Barack and Michelle for taking the time out of your lives raising your wonderful little girls, to help us learn and to teach our children how to pick up not just our cross to bare from Bush, but roll up our sleeves, to clean up the corruption and lies in our country to move forward in the 21st century.
The world has been waiting for a leader from America like Barack Obama for a long time.
I see lots of people all over the internet blogs praying for Barack's safety and ready to work with a common sense President, who will talk before acting with military power. To be a firm but wise leader with peace always as a means before war.

The fact that Hillary's campaign has turned relentlessly destructive can work in our favor. A a huge part of our success has been our ability to differentiate our campaign from hers.

This is especially important with the new voters. Hillary's destructiveness makes it much easier for us to demonstrate that our campaign really is different. Furthermore, Hillary's destructiveness is a pure example of everything that we want to change. It becomes easy for us to say to the new voters that the only way they are ever going to be able to change from that (Hillary's brand of politics) to this (our brand of politics) is by getting out to the polls and voting for Barack.

In other words, Hillary's destructiveness makes it much easier for us to motivate the new voters into taking action.

Have any of you noticed the difference in our supporters vs Clinton and McCain supporters? I really LIKE our supporters! When I just listened to this video I thought "I like these two people". That is how I feel when I listen to our supporters. We are a united family. We love our candidate. We have ideals. We have compassion. We are not greedy. We want peace and recognize that the best way to attain that goal is by helping those less fortunate then us - not by scaring them or by bullying them!

Actually, during my canvassing I've found that I very much like the vast majority of Hillary and McCain supporters who I meet. Jayne, I think that you are mostly seeing the noisiest Hillary and McCain supporters. By contrast, you are hanging around with a much broader group of Barack supporters. You are tending to see the worst of the Hillary and McCain supporters because they are the noisiest and grab the most attention.

I've found that once you get out into the neighborhoods of America, that you find that people in general are much more down-to-earth than the overheated hyper-partisan types we tend to see on our televisions. Barack is right when he says that "we are more united than our politics suggests".

Reaching out to supporters of McCain and Clinton, but also to people fully frustrated by any kind of politics, is crucial.

Even though we might have complaints about the tactics used by Hilary, her campaign, or her supporters, one great thing you can say about them is that they are working hard to make their voice heard in American politics. Until now I was very apathetic, not taking an interest in politics, until Barack inspired me. I am just a newbie to all this, but there are Hilary supporters who have been behind her for years, and I respect them for that, for getting involved before it was "cool" like it is becoming now.

Hi All

I have a fundraising page that needs some help too- anything would be appreciated!

To prove my metal this is what I have done:

I canvassed and phone banked in Delaware leading up to Feb 5th. For 13 hrs a day for monday and Tuesday.

I have made silk screen posters and sent them to people in Texas and in Ohio- a total of 20+ posters.

I've written a letter to the editor in DE- published. And wrote 4 letters to Biden asking for his endorsement.

Plus there's my daily obsession with this blog and sending links and articles out to friends who are phone banking to make their calls more informed.

And my sister calls me everyday and I answer "Obama Headquarters" and she asks me for the daily update and I rattle of a whole list of things from endorsements to polls to debates, etc - not really an accomplishment- just a view into my personality.

Anywho, thanks for doing this! I'm still working on my Republican family- so donating has not happened from those guys yet... its gets a little heated...

So proud of those that are GOTV this weekend- I wanted to but am busy planning my wedding and trying to graduate from grad school! So keep up the good work!

Ninety thou is a hard goal but perhaps with the general we'll fill the coffers of all the Obama fund raising pages.

I just got my first donation of 10 dollars after a year here, because I'm not too good at linking.

working Hard in Texas: Musing of a sleep deprived volunteer | Report to Admin

Well its 2am and i'm just getting home from the Obama office after a long day of organizaing canvassers, people making calls, people to keep those people comfortable.

We started early this morning around 10am just when everyone seemed to be sapped a group of students from More-house college in atlanta show up and everyone gets energized to make calls for another hour. By the end of the night there were not only a large group of locals, but people from Wisconsin, New York, California, and georgia all in this one house making calls and canvassing for Barack.

The people from other states are so energized even if they are here just for a day its amazing the experience i'm having from a political campaign and the coalition we had built just in this house. Young old, black white, republicans, hispanics men and women.

barack is getting some incredible support here in Texas but everyone who reads this needs to make at least 1 call for Obama or donate $5 bucks to my fundraising site.

We ended up making over 1500 calls and knocking on about 1000 doors just from the group of about 40 people in this one house. From what we here there are hundreds of these groups going out this weekend just in Texas.

The work i've done has been everything from getting food, entering data, recruiting volunteers, organizing precinct, and helping train precinct captains. We have a large number of precinct captains that are not yet 18 years old but they are so fired up and motivated that we have no doubt they will run the caucus' with iron fists.

I have to say there is an absolute buzz here in Houston, walking around with an Obama button on is the easiest way to make a new friend these days. Now that early voting is over they estimate turnout was 10 times the previous election, talk about a Texas sized turnout, they say everything is bigger in Texas and apparent with the turnout it rings true.

tomorrow we are canvassing again and making more calls this time from another house. The goal is to beat yesterdays total. Our Airwaves in Texas has been bombarded by Barack obama he advertises at a rate of 5 to 1 and this also made possible by the SEIU for every 5 adverts of Barack i can say the SEIU has 2 or one of them. I am very proud of them they are really helping us out . I will just want Barack not to forget this great guys cos they are canvasing in my neighborhood as well. Hillary comes once for every barack 5 times. i will tell you guys barack is spamming the networks with adverts so we will win no fear. Hi All,

Keep up the great work on the phone calling and everything else you are doing to get people to vote for Senator Obama. I am certainly doing my part, but I have also started a petition for those who have donated to Senator Obama's campaign to express their support for him not to accept public funding at the time of his securing the Democratic nomination in the general election.

As a donor and an ordinary citizen, I take strong issue with the notion that all of the money that Senator Obama has raised by individuals such as myself should be looked at as having the influence of PACs or lobbying, special interests and corporate groups. The bottom line is that John McCain, as the potential Republican nominee, has not inspired or motivated his supporters to donate to his campaign in the manner which Senator Obama has, and consequently, he now faces a major spending disadvantage. Unfortunately, this is not a playing field that should be leveled. There is neither a similarity nor analogy between the influence of big dollars from corporate entities and ordinary citizens giving small donations in order to participate in this election. Thus, the whole argument for public funding that will soon be aggressively made is now moot! I believe that Senator Obama will ultimately make the best decision for the campaign, but it is important to speak out against this issue and let him know that he has our support. That is why I have started this petition and want to obtain as many signatures as possible (I stated one million should sign this because over that many folks have donated to his campaign). If you agree with my feelings on this issue, please sign my petition and help spread the word. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

The world is filled with experienced people who have average ability and poor judgment. We're just getting done with a President who fits that description.

A person with much experience, but poor judgment can do damage in many ways.A person with less experience and good judgment is less likely to make the major mistakes we have seen in government. You can substitute the word " wisdom" for judgment, and that is a Biblical virtue.

Hillary's old dear friend James Carville realizes that once again Hillary's campaign team has made a huge strategic error. They are drawing all of the attention toward Hillary's greatest weakness and away from Hillary's greatest strength.

Hillary's foreign policy decision making is nothing less than a third rail for her in this Democratic Primary. She should be doing everything in her power to keep the subject away from foreign policy and on domestic policy. Instead she is doing just the opposite.

Hillary has acknowledged that the Iraq War authorization is the one vote that she would most like to take back if she could. Nevertheless, she keeps bringing the subject back to Iraq. She keeps exposing her jaw to Barack and he just keeps hitting it. She keeps giving Barack opportunity after opportunity to go back to Hillary's vote authorizing the war. It would be as if Charlie Brown went to Lucy's house, knocked on the door, and begged her to hold the football in place for him to kick!

At this point it hardly matters why Hillary has run such an astonishingly inept campaign. It is a simple and indisputable fact that she has. What on earth would make anyone at this point think that Hillary is capable of running a competent enough campaign in the general election to even be competitive with McCain?

I saw it too. Hilary's campaign manager - Mark Penn really does have a 'God' complex. He completely refuses to acknowledge common sense. He has really hurt Hilary. They positioned Bill Clinton all wrong throughout this campaign. They've been unorganized and have resorted to the lowest common denominator.
That said, it ultimately could put her back into the race.

I think what people forget is that playing the fear card can be effective. Working class people don't research rumors. They live by sound bites and rumors. This could hurt us.

I've created a blog here, called in and talked to several volunteers, sent an email to the head of the Obama'O8, sent email to info@barackobama.com, and am now commenting on a few posts in hopes someone calls me.

Can not help spread the word in a more effective way with hugely more impact if no one calls from Obama'08 (The media a message is delivered in matters). YouTube and corporate america want us to spend money to get high definition (HD) online. If Barack shows it is possible without changes to infrastructure he would impress all and likely win!

FYI. HD video online technology can help! If you can get someone from Obama'08 who is a decision maker please do.
