This year is the first time that Nevada - or any Western state - gets to play an early role in choosing our parties' candidates for the November 2008 presidential election. Throughout his more than two decades of public service, Barack Obama has brought Democrats and Republicans together to get things done. He began his career as a community organizer, building coalitions of residents, labor unions and churches to bring job training and economic development to blighted areas. In the U.S. Senate, he earned a 94% rating from SEIU by standing for the values of working families.
