Success at pick-up basketball requires toughness, integrity and teamwork. According to Craig Robinson, Barack’s brother-in-law and Brown University men’s basketball head coach, Barack has always been an outstanding pick-up basketball player. Craig believes that the same qualities that make Barack such a great player on the court also make him an effective leader off the court.
Craig visited New Hampshire this past weekend for Hoops.Action.Change., our 3-on-3 basketball tournament and community organizing activity. After volunteering at their local campaign offices to qualify, players gathered in Portsmouth, Keene, Nashua and Lebanon for the first round of tournament play on Friday. At the championship round in Manchester on Saturday, the Railroad Team from Keene emerged victorious, earning autographed basketballs and some quality court time with Barack.
