Thank you, Ohio, my home state, for BELIEVING that CHANGE is possible. I have never been more moved, more proud or more filled with hope than I am right now.

God bless our President-elect Barack Obama, our Vice President-elect Joe Biden and the United States; the country, where on THIS night, I am proud to call home.

I am so deeply moved by this tremendous victory, and the emotion continues to build today. Last night, I felt a level of euphoria that was indescribable. Today, I find the emotion turning to wonder, gratitude, humility, and awe.

I am humbled to have been a part of this movement, and to have supported Barck Obama and Joe Biden throughout this campaign. I'm filled with gratitude that I was able to do so.

Today I think of all the people who died fighting for civil rights, those who died simply because they existed, and those who lived their lives in quiet dignity and grace, even when they were treated with unfathomable cruelty and indifference. Their souls rejoice for eternity, knowing that they are remembered, loved, and treasured. They know now that there is no turning back. That their descendants will never face the challenges they faced, and that any child can grow up in the United States of America saying, "Yes I can!"

God bless Barack Obama, God bless Joe Biden, God bless everyone who made this happen, and God bless the United States of America!

I have never felt so proud to be from The United States, the old Mid-West, The State of Ohio, The Queen City of Cincinnati, and Delhi Township. I never thought I would see the day that our city and state would win this election. Its because of us as a state that The United States is showing the world right now that we will always stand for progress, peace, hard work, and unyielding hope.
Thank you also for showing us young Americans that we will be the next historic generation to strive for peace and justice.

Four years ago, I was watching Barack's DNC speech. My wife asked who he was. I turned to her right after he finished speaking and said, "You are looking at our first African-American President". Back in the Spring, I told her again that I was going to do anything that I could to help him get there. For the last four years, I have waited for this day, to wake up on November 5th, 2008, and see the headlines. I waited several months for the campaign staff to call. I set up a MyBo group and started rounding up people from my e-mail addres book, my MySpace, my Facebook and other places I frequent on-line. When the staff finally called in July, we had our first meeting and hit the ground running in Middletown that day. A couple of weeks later, We were the first regional HQ in the state to open. There were two staff members and a handful of anxious volunteers - the seeds of the grassroots were planted in Middletown. Every week from then on, more staff members came in, along with more volunteers. We organized canvasses at least two days a week and phone banks every day. I became an NTL, along with a few other vols. We divided and set out to conquer Area 5. We knocked on thousands of doors and canvassed valliantly for 4 solid months, in every neighborhood between Hamilton and Montgomery Counties, right up until the end. Last night, when the numbers came in, I was standing at Champp's with 200+ other area volunteers and staff members. When CNN called Ohio for Obama, I froze. I could not believe what I was seeing. To hear the cheers, the joy, the energy in that room was simply indescribable. I can only imagine how many thousands of other gatherings just like ours, small and large, felt the exact same way. A wave of energetic HOPE and CHANGE swept across this country. It was a feeling that I simply can not describe. I still can't believe it. We did it. Yes we did.

I live in Ohio and am an advid supporter of Obama-Biden. I went door to door here in Ohio talking to neighbors and friends. And Yes, I did help put them in office. For the people and By the people. Finally, change has come to America.
