As you know, Indiana and North Carolina primaries are Tuesday, May 6th. It is time to become active. We have the power to change minds and sway undecideds to vote Obama.
If you cannot go to either of those states, the next best weapon is "the call". I was afraid, like everyone else. In fact, my first list of numbers were either "disconnected" or an answering machine, which only added to my fear.
I finally reached a real person, but they were "not interested". Reached another person, who stated they were republican, and another "not interested". One of my final calls was to a man, a stated liberterian, who was not going to vote because he did not see anything changing, and he was a "Ron Paul" man. Well, I started on him, telling him that Ron Paul and Obama have many policies that were similiar, and that I, too respected Ron Paul. After talking for while, I think my excitement got to him, and he said, if he were votiing, Obama would get his vote. I encouraged him to not let his vote go to waste and get to the polls Tuesday. We needed him.
I gave him Obama's website address and he promised to take a look.
I came to the conclusion that there are people out there that will never vote for Obama, no matter what, however, there are those who are undecided who need the extra push, need to hear our excitement, and need to know they matter in this election!
I hope everyone picks up the phone and calls at least 20 people.
It is not that hard!
