The candidates are pulling out all the stops to prove "they" are the candidate of choice. Senator Clinton brought actor Sean Astin and Ted Danson to Terre Haute, while singer Dave Matthews and actor Jeremy Piven campaigned on behalf of Senator Obama.
It's not just Hollywood celebrities, but local poltical figures like Senator Evan Bayh toured the state for Senator Clinton. Local Clinton, Indiana mayor Jerry Hawkins has publicly endorsed Obama. State Senator Tim Skinner showed his support for the Clintons by introducing the former President on his visit to South Vermillion High School.
Is it all hype? Or do these endorsements actually affect who voters choose when they step inside that voting booth?
Several people we spoke with said "No way."
"Not at all," says Calvin Folsom.
Reporter: "Not at all? Why is that?"
"I make my mind up over the issues, long ahead of time," says Folsom.
"It makes them look more popular, but to me, I just look at what the candidate can do for me. I vote for who I want, not for who Jeremy Piven wants," says Brittany Jackson.
