This ACORN stuff is really really bad. As a voter, I really need to know that Obama wasn't funding an organization that willingly engaged in voter fraud.

This could be a game changer for me.

I was surprised to see that Obama actually worked for ACORN in 96 suing mortgagers and forcing them to loan to inner cities lenders, thereby creating this whole crisis in the first place. The fact that Clinton aided this by enforcing the Community Reinvestment Act (written by Jimmy Carter), forcing all mortgagers to do the same thing or be labeled racist and shut down makes me confused as to why I'm even still a member of the Democrat party.

Especially since the Republicans tried to reform GSE's all throughout the '00s.

He wanted fair and equal loans when the credit history was the same as a white person's, black people weren't getting loans.

Dorothy, please explain to me why the voter registration done by ACORN is nearly all democrat voters.
Barack is heavily invested in ACORN. Funding, he worked for them, he trained them, he was their lawyer.

oh please, you're the only person connecting the two C.Johnson. I have read nothing (besides right-wing nuttery) that suggested Obama had anything to do with ACORN's bull.
It was ACORN who was paying people to register... not Obama.
Since you've never commented or posted blogs before- I have no reason to think you are a REAL Obama supporter.
Probably some PUMA here to stir up trouble.

If you've got some proof that there is vote fraud let's have it. I'm not talking voter registration fraud. Any clown with a stupid sense of humor who is trying to pad his hourly wages can put down donald duck as a registered democratic voter. What you need to show is actual vote fraud that came from ACORN and that Senator Obama agreed with tacitly or implicitly.

and what I am finding is troubling, to say the least. I want change now, but not at any cost, and certainly not as a result of any wrong doings or dishonest practices. That's exactly what we're fighting against now and have been for the past eight years. Isn't it?

While Barrak states he has never been involved with ACORN, I've found that he was their lawyer and he litigated on their behalf in a suit against Citigroup. I believe this was to pressure Citi into funding loans for those who couldn't afford housing, or something along those lines. Isn't that why we're in such an economic mess?

The media is running new stories every single day about thousands of ballots being fraudulent, and people are emerging stating they were paid to submit them??

For me, it's not just ACORN, either.

Ties with ACORN, "campaigning" for Kenyan leader Odinga, William Ayers, not to mention some really creepy videos of kids chanting and singing about him, and topping it off with Louis Farrakhan calling him the messiah; these are really causing me to reconsider my vote for an Obama presidency. It's just too radical.

I really wish he'd explain these things to the American people so we can continue to be confident that he is the right man for the job.

This is a total PUMA or right winger spam crap.

1) Voter registration fraud, which *no one* is claiming Obama did or supported, is very different than vote fraud. It's entirely possible that ACORN hired people and paid them by the hour and they filled out bogus voter registration cards to pad their time and get paid more. All of that gets sent to the state which weeds out the nonsense. The only real issue is that it wastes taxpayers money and the state's time. It's far from being a scandal except to PUMAblicans.

2) All the other nonsense you bring up is straight from McCain's playbook.

The real issue is that McCain doesn't have anything positive to say and nobody agrees with his political stance. If the only thing we can talk about is how bad Obama is because of issues that are misleading or completely false, that speaks volumes about McCain and his losing campaign.

Maybe you'd be better off trying to convince everyone why McCain is so great instead of trying to try to make people doubt Obama.

Where did you get that information? ACORN are the ones that filled out and submitted the bogus forms as valid. Also there are you tube videos with people saying ACORN registered them multiple times. ACORN registered 105% of the Indianapolis population. Doesn't that sound suspicious?

ACORN is being attacked by the GOP. I have seen no credible sources which would indicate that ACORN is not following the rules. They apparently have good quality control and even if some individual ACORN employees did submit fraudulent registration forms it wouldn't matter because the forms do not provide a means of fraudulent voting.

ACORN had found and reported most voter fraud, for instance in Nevada, and then they were raided. Afterall, the fraud was committed against ACORN also, they were paying persons to register voters, by the vote. And the JustSayNoDeal site, a lot of incidental associations which add up to nothing except in their own puny minds.
