Hi. I would just like to write a paragraph (or three) about an observation. As I speak to Obama suppporters on this site and in person at work and in everyday life, I have come to notice something about them. I use the term 'typical' here, to mean average. There are exceptions to everything. I have come to realize that with a reasonable amount of explaining, I can overcome a disagreement with them rather quickly. I have come to realize the typical Obama supporter is willing to dig a bit deeper to get to the root of a problem. An Obama supporter has the mental capacity to analyze a situation or topic and develop a solution. This person also realizes the possibility that their solution may not be the best one. In other words, we are willing to work together as a team to arrive at the most effective solution to a problem. Most of us are not cold hearted people. We care about others and want what is best for them, not just for ourselves. While we may be a bit more emotional than the average American, we are also intellectual. We like to think about what we do and what we say ...
On the other hand, it is often easy to pick out an anti-Obama person without even mentioning politics. They are often irritable and even at times irrational. They often refuse to reason with others. It's basically their way or the highway. If you disagree with them, they will argue to no end. They are not effective team players whether it be in the workplace, playing a game, or in sports. They often lack a mental capacity or a desire to dig deep to analyze a problem.
It's kind of funny in a way; I have been able to tell whether a person would prefer Hillary, Obama, or perhaps McCain, just by utilizing the method described above. It has been correct more often than not.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Thx.
Leonard
