The problem that undoes John McCain's old reputation as a maverick is the fact that he knew the Bush, Cheney, Rove, and the rest of the Republican clan had been wrong about the country and still he continued to caucus and support them in Congress and Washington DC. No disrespect, but that's not putting country and American people first. You can't be supporting Bush for 8 years and now wants to claim that you haven't been one of them. Obama is right and right again. McCain threw his support behind Republican clan over the past 8 years. So, he can't come out right now to claim that he has been a maverick. John McCain's maverick statements and his facts just don't coincide.
