This is a hot topic on many websites, in blogs and in the news--Obama includes Donnie McClurklin in his "Embrace the Change" gospel tour. I have never written a blog that recieved so many responses. I understand what is considered by many to be "the controversy". But I must ask this question. Where was the controversey in 2004?. When Donnie McClurkin performed at the 2004 GOP convention I do not recall it being such a hot topic. What has changed about Donnie McClukin in the last four years that now makes him an "untouchable" on the political circuit? Your responses and explanations are welcome.

They started complaining about Gospel tours and mixing politics and religion.
Then they realized that McClurkin had better 'legs' so we began to hear more about him.
Of course, a lot of people were genuinely disturbed about the guy -- fair enough. But it's clear that the Clinton campaign is looking for wedge issues to divide our coalition.

I'd expect we'll be getting a controversy every third news cycle or so.
So, check the FEC pages, and start looking for fabricated addresses.

I expect Republicans to be anti-gay bigots. It's in their platform, for God's sake.
An anti-gay performer, speaker, or activist at Republican event is as common a closeted gay Republicans getting arrested for bathroom sex.

Do you know who the Log Cabin Republicans are? Even if you do, take a look at this. Log Cabin is a group that enables anti-gay bigotry in the Republican Party:
