Jerome Corsi is back with
a new book of lies
-- this time about Barack Obama.
In the Swift Boat smear campaign of 2004, Corsi co-authored a book of distortions and lies about John Kerry.
With his new book, Corsi and his cohorts are
rehashing distortions and the same old lies
about Barack Obama. These smear-peddlers actively seek to distract Americans from serious issues and to derail the efforts of the millions of people who own a part of this election and are working tirelessly to bring about real change in this country.
Corsi and his cohorts must be stopped.
Read the facts about Corsi and his desperate fabrications

An old grad from the Naval Academy, who's currently a judge in the DC area, told me that Ollie North hasn't been back to Annapolis since the Iran-Contra scandal. The reason: he has been silenced by his classmates for lying under oath during the congressional testimony. A clear violation of the USNA honor code, his classmates told him that they are not allowed to talk to him — in other words, they're giving him the silence treatment, the traditional punishment for breaking the honor code.
This judge is a die-hard Republican, so I have no idea why he'd make up something like that, and I've never investigated it, but it does seem odd that I've never heard mention of Mr. North appearing at Annapolis, for a speech, a football game, or a graduation.
Anyway, getting back on track...
McCain is danger-close to putting himself in the same boat.
At the military academies, quibbling is the same thing as lying.
And it is definitely quibbling to run around saying "Tell them to get back to work" when he failed to vote on this critical issue eight times.

Eight Strikes and You’re Out
By THOMAS L. FRIEDMAN
Published: August 12, 2008
John McCain recently tried to underscore his seriousness about pushing through a new energy policy, with a strong focus on more drilling for oil, by telling a motorcycle convention that Congress needed to come back from vacation immediately and do something about America’s energy crisis. “Tell them to come back and get to work!” McCain bellowed.
Sorry, but I can’t let that one go by. McCain knows why.
It was only five days earlier, on July 30, that the Senate was voting for the eighth time in the past year on a broad, vitally important bill — S. 3335 — that would have extended the investment tax credits for installing solar energy and the production tax credits for building wind turbines and other energy-efficiency systems.
Senator McCain did not show up for the crucial vote on July 30, and the renewable energy bill was defeated for the eighth time. In fact, John McCain has a perfect record on this renewable energy legislation. He has missed all eight votes over the last year — which effectively counts as a no vote each time. Once, he was even in the Senate and wouldn’t leave his office to vote.

Dear Mr.Plouffe:
What are you doing? The future of America and the free-world is on your shoulders and you're running this campaign like a Senatorial campaign.
You're going to lose this election.
This campaign should be about one issue and one issue only. The ECONOMY stupid (part II).
Only a healthy economy will give us national security, education, energy solutions, health care, etc. But more importantly, it's a simple message to what is becoming an increasingly simple electorate (e.g. Palin supporters). David, please stop confusing voters with intellectual appeals to anything but their fear of this collapsing economy.
It's not too late. EVERYONE understands his or her bank balance and it needs to be hammered home. China, Russia, et al are breathing down our necks and you're making the Democrats seem so complacent. Forget McCain, ignore Palin.
It's just the economy.
Sigh.

David Shuster just owned a member of PUMA on hardball. She admitted donating $500 to the republican party. She admitted she will never vote for Obama. Both people ignored David saying Hillary has said that she rejects them. He owned them on the rules regarding Florida and Michigan and said all candidates agreed to the rules. The girl named Pelosi,Donna Brazile, and Howard Dean as betrayers yet they will never vote for Obama. When this hits You Tube lets make this go viral. They both got served up a good ole can of whoopa$$!

Obama has 90% of the black vote, 60% of the Hispanic vote, 50% of the white vote but he has 100% of the vote of people who think it doesn't matter if they vote!!!

right now is projected though to have 45% of the white vote....that is the number that needs to be raised.....He leads white females by 19% according to WSJ.....the group he needs to grow in is with white males.....Brian Schweitzer can help with that group....

This gives me the strong impression that these are closeted Republicans, much like Liebermann. They are not interested in the future of America and the ideals of democracy. Each of them hopes to inflict disunity, to divide, just like Repulsive Repubs always do. It will be best when such insidious turncoats are no longer infiltrating this progressive movement.

Carville and his current wife were RIVELS during the campaign the year Bush Sr. ran for his second term against Bill Clinton and Ross Perot. That was an EXCITING YEAR. Carville and his wife DUKED IT OUT all over TV ....he was part of the Bill Clinton campaign and she was with the Bush Sr. Campaign. After the election the news was that they were an item and eventually married and had children. Im sure that HUGE rivelry between them was part of the chemistry. I dont think Carville is racist...I think he LOVED that Clinton election year and loved participating in what seemed like a re-do with Hillary this time.

I was in the bookstore the other day when I saw Mr. Corsi's piece of fiction (to call it a nonfiction work is laughable)on Barack Obama prominently displayed, as if it were a serious work to be taken seriously.
The best thing we can do is refute every single lie Corsi insists on peddling and profiting from. Spread the truth - and KEEP telling it, reminding folks that it was just these lies that gave us eight disastrous years of George W. Bush and will give us four more disastrous years under John McCain. Their negativity will not prevail.
Will we fight back with the truth?

Technology to get the vote out |

Andy from Bellevue, WA
Aug 14th 2008 at 7:45 pm EDT (Updated Aug 14th 2008 at 7:45 pm EDT)
As founder and CEO of Alerts.com I’d like to invite you to explore a capability that no other campaign will have ever done before and way more powerful to ensure voters vote: sending voters an alert, on their terms, on any device, on schedule to encourage them to go vote, when and where it matters.
Imagine the following scenario where the battle is fierce in Ohio, Virginia, Colorado, Florida and Michigan. History might repeat itself where by Ohio's close presidential contest in 2004 made it the last among the states to be decided, and Bush's win by slightly more than 2 percentage points over Kerry gave him the 20 electoral votes that clinched his re-election . Two percentage points… 120,000 voters in Ohio…
What if you could, at the push of a button, send instantly, county by county, a message that would arrive to a voter’s email cell phone, home phone (with a voice recorded message from Barrack: “I need your support for change, Ohio is key to our success. Please vote today. Vote now”), desktop… On their terms, in the context of their lives. Couldn’t we rally 120,000 voters to go vote?
Alerts.com is prepared to expand this technology to Barrack’s campaign. But we need to act now to be ready on time for change. Getting is done is relatively simple:
- Democrats.org will invite your email list of voters to register to the Barrack-for-Change-Vote-Alerts powered by Alerts.com
- Voters will configure the delivery of their alert by providing their required information
- As the county by county tally unfolds you send messages to voters and they are delivered automatically and synchronously to all the device of their choice
- You count the extra votes
Alerts.com has partnered with leading technology back-end providers such as 4INFO, SinglePoint, MessageSystems, Microsoft to build our infrastructure. We have been selected to present at DEMO Fall 08, the leading emerging technology showcase in the USA and being recognized for our leading technology.
Looking forward to hearing from you. I have tried to reach David Plouffe but have not succeed.

We also have a program sending people post cards...there is lots of stuff..plus when we call people, we can answer their questions, give them their address to vote...and all of this....
All the supporters who said they voted for Obama in the primary when we called, will get a call to remind them...same with the Hillary supporters and supporters of other dem candidates...

I don't understand why the media isn't calling McCain out for interfering in foreign policy. They came down hard on Obama just for talking in Berlin -- called him presumptuous. But McCain has said he talks to Georgia's president EVERY DAY! And what is he saying to him? Might he have encouraged Georgia to think the US would back them if they invaded the disputed territory? His campaign manager had a $200,000 contract to lobby for Georgia for god's sake. Why isn't the media digging on this to see why McCain thinks he can communicate directly with the Georgian president and not be called "presumptuous."?!!!

Air traffic control tapes reveal that the pilot of Obama’s campaign plane did declare an emergency last month after an evacuation slide inflated inside the plane’s tail.
The jet’s pilot also requested emergency equipment meet the plane in St. Louis.
Officials had said the pilot did not declare an emergency, and there was no concern about danger.

Well again Thank God they were safe. It really showed how calm he is even when under pressure or in dangerous situation. That is the kind of temperament we need in a President.

Living in Ohio, I have see lots of smear ads by the opposition. Tonight, a new one - that Obama plans to raise taxes on families earning $40,000 a year. When is the Obama campaign going to get off it's high horse and start hitting back? If they don't start getting in the mud, this will be another Mondale, Dukakas, Gore, Kerry losing campaign. Stop being so noble and slug it out! This isn't a gentleman's contest.

At this defining moment in our history, Americans are hungry for change. After years of failed policies and failed politics from Washington, this is our chance to reclaim the American dream. Change We Can Believe In outlines his vision for America.
In these pages you will find bold and specific ideas about how to fix our ailing economy and strengthen the middle class, make health care affordable for all, achieve energy independence, and keep America safe in a dangerous world. Change We Can Believe In asks you not just to believe in Barack Obama’s ability to bring change to Washington, it asks you to believe in yours.

Remember, the campaign came out hard against McCain after the primaries and even during the primaries. Then started softening before his Iraq trip and after the whole FISA craze. But thank God they are fighting again.
No need for character smears, McCain is doing that to himself fine.
But finally the democrats are fighting back and taking back issues.
-Obama is fighting him for Christian voters and winning.
-Obama fought him on National security issues and is behind only 9pts.
-Now he's fighting McCain on economy and beating his butt.

The Clintons are undermining the momentum potential of the Obama nomination. The speech
ok, but the vote will introduce speeches for the Clinton nomination and will help dilute the excitement of the great moment and help increase the schism that we have been trying to overcome. The American audience will not see this as just a normal role call vote, by the end they'll say "there they go again!" A big turnoff...and I say this as someone who first saw these conventions in 1950 and the problems stirred up...sometimes riots ensued.
Gonna make our campaign for Barack and a new beginning much more challenging. But we must just make up our minds to get this done!

If you personally cannot afford to, please ask your friends and family to purchase the book. The best way for us to combat the smears is to show the power of the grassroots to change the story. Can you imagine how powerful it would be to have a book about Barack's POLICIES reach #1 on Amazon and the NY Times best-seller list. The current Corsi book is #1 based on the strength of its BULK SALES to right-wing organizations. Let's be our own grassroots co-op and purchase copies of the upcoming campaign book in the millions.

Well there's really only one meaning and the Clinton Pumas have used it for their PAC. The Urban dictionary says that a "Puma" is a woman too young to be a "Cougar" but who still likes to go after younger men. I assume the original Cougar name was after the cat and is a play on words as in "catting around" with the rather sexist idea that an older woman going after a younger man is somehow dangerous (men go after younger women all the time and just get an "atta boy").
Moving on. Now the bitter and obsessed female Clinton supporters registered their official PAC "People United Means Action!" with the acronym P.U.M.A. One assumes they came up with the acronym and THEN thought up a name because the actual name is a bit on the lame side.
Why they would want to name their group their group after a rather sexist, probably male derived epithet for a single woman in her late 30's and 40's is something you will have to ask them. It's beyond me!

Once again, PUMA folks or whatever you are stand for; how is it that when it comes to financial issue, you people are nowhere to find? Now, that impression already instilled to mind that you people are just talk. If you truly support Sen. Clinton, you people could have contributed at least $100.00 each and her debt could have totally erased and that could have alleviate her financial anxiety.

With all due respect Grandma, I've been around Democratic politics for 45 years and this nasty book is bad news. Yes, the 40 page answer was the right thing to do but we need to do more. Not the Obama campaign, of course, but we Democrats MUST act, or this piece of fiction is going to cause a LOT of damage. It always does!
Does anyone know of any similar McCain book coming out? MoveON, where are you when we need you???? The difference is, of course, that we can come up with PLENTY of very damaging stuff on McCain without telling one lie. We can start with how he dumped his wife and go on to how he wants to privatize social security!

Aug 14th 2008 at 8:20 pm EDT (Updated Aug 14th 2008 at 8:20 pm EDT)
The Score radio station in Chicago has an afternoon segment called “Who are you crapping”. The point of the segment is for callers to point out hypocrisy wherever they hear it. The only rule is that the comment must end with the words “Who are you crapping”. Since the Score is a sports station most all time the calls are about sports, but today was different. John McCain had three crap’s tossed his way. The one that I like the most was from a caller in Oklahoma, and it went like this.
“This week John McCain commenting on the situation between Russia and Georgia said that in the 21st century nations don’t invade other nations. This is the same John McCain who said in January that the Iraq war was not a mistake. Well, by John’s definition the US is not a nation, and that we are not Americans since in the same interview he said that we are all Georgians now, so John McCain who are you crapping”
I don’t know if the caller is a Barack supporter, but it’s nice to know that people are paying attention even if the MSM wants to ignore or gloss over McCain’s hypocrisy.
To the guy from Oklahoma, if you are a support of Barack’s and reading this post, nice crap.

Is it just me over thinking things
Or is the timing of the book Obamanation hitting the shelves before the convention
well executed by Carville and his wife
Did the Clintons know the book would be put out 2 weeks before convention(via Carville)
Is that why she put out induendos(video) that she thought her supporters needed catharsasism (sp?) and there should be a roll call to help them and 1 week prior to convention her name is on the vote
Is she hoping that the party will turn her way at the last minute
Why are all 3 Clintons speaking at the convention?
Did we not hear enough from all of them during the primaries?
Obama won the primary fair and square with the required amount of delegates
The convention is the time to unite the party, lets pray this all works out.
I have faith with Obamas team ,they have always been miles ahead strategically but I do not fully understand this one
Any thoughts?

I don't put anything past some of the old guard... but this nomination fight is over.
It is too late for Hillary to pull a team together, or raise the money to wage an effective campaign. What would happen to Obama's supporters? She would not get a dime from the 2 million donors. She could not get the millions Barack has already raised. She would not get the support of the 1 million grassroots volunteers. All of the voter registration efforts would end...
In other words, she [and the democratic party] would lose this thing big time. It is far too late for changes. Obama is our presumptive nominee today - and will be the official nominee in 2 weeks. The swiftboaters played their hand too early... we have enough time to show them for the liars that they are.

Zhana, don't you get it.....If the primary vote was reversed, either in a few weeks at the convention or in the last few months by the super delegates, Barack Obama would HAVE TO be Hillary's VP..The party would force him to....it is the only way the Democrats could win...if Hillary had stolen the election by getting the superdelegates to mobilize against Obama she would have to make him VP...
That would give her his 100M$ funds, and make him part of the campaign mobilizing volunteers....
Look, if Obama lost Indiana and North Carolina after losing PA by 15 points, Hillary would have gotten the super delegates to reverse the national vote, used this to push Obama down in the polls against her and McCain, and hurt him to make herself the nominee..at that point he would have to be VP.....Obama knew that......
Hillary doesn't care....the convention is in a few weeks..if there is a 1% chance that something could come up that she could use to get it reversed, that is good enough odds for her....She just doesn't care........

Of course Hillary doesnt care because Hillary wants to be President. ANYTHING can happen at the convention. We hope ALL delegates vote as expected and that Super Delegates dont switch sides. Im sure there is a lot going on behind the scenes right now. I would have LOVED for Hillary to have bowed out completely and by releasing her delegates......last June. That didn't happen. Once past the convention ....I think it's home sailing to election day against McCain but there is NO NOMINEE until the Delegates SAY SO. We'll know for sure ....at the convention.

the very book Obama Nation that everyone is screaming about is being published by none other than Mary Matalin....James Carvelle's wife.
Are you seriously going to tell me the Clinton's didn't have a heads up on this book being published and released 2 weeks before the convention?? Puh-leeeeeez

I agree, there is no way she and Bill would not have known that this book was coming out at this time. Washington is a small town and gossip is the second biggest game in town, politics being the first. (I lived and worked there for two decades.)
She kept saying that "anything can happen before the convention." My question is -- if she had even a hint of this, why didn't she give Sen. Obama a heads up? Why didn't she release her delegates? Why is she pushing to take over the convention? She lost; she did not win.
Sen Obama may trust her. I don't.
But We will elect Sen.Obama. WE must to save our country from fascism. We're closer to that than anyone ever realized or wanted to know.
We also need to fight this latest McCain supported garbage with all our energies. But IMHO, you are right. She had to know.

What do you all think about hosting hundreds of 'Change You Can Believe In" book clubs after the release of the book on September 9th? I think that if Obama supporters hosted book clubs in our communities talking specifically about the policies in the book this could be a great mobilization tool for the general election. Any thoughts on this? Should I suggest the idea to the campaign? Perhaps they already planned such an idea.

Aug 14th 2008 at 8:35 pm EDT (Updated Aug 14th 2008 at 8:35 pm EDT)
T]here is no excuse for what the McCain campaign is doing on the "putting America first" front. There is no way to balance it, or explain it other than as evidence of a severe character defect on the part of the candidate who allows it to be used. There is a straight up argument to be had in this election: Mcain has a vastly different view from Obama about foreign policy, taxation, health care, government action...you name it. He has lots of experience; it is always shocking to remember that this time four years ago, Barack Obama was still in the Illinois State Legislature. Apparently, though, McCain isn't confident that conservative policies and personal experience can win, given the ruinous state of the nation after eight years of Bush. So he has made a fateful decision: he has personally impugned Obama's patriotism and allows his surrogates to continue to do that. By doing so, he has allied himself with those who smeared him, his wife, his daughter Bridget, in 2000. Those tactics won George Bush a primary--and a nomination. But they proved a form of slow-acting spiritual poison, rotting the core of the Bush presidency. We'll see if the public decides to acquiesce in sleaze in 2008, and what sort of presidency--what sort of country--that will produce.

A recognizable face has finally been put on the motive behind the Hillary Clinton supporters and it is not pretty. I happened to catch a brief conversation on Darragh Murphy from a PUMA woman who claims that she will never vote for Obama even when he becomes the nominee. This woman was pressed as to whether or not she is a Republican in disguise because her stance on the issues is definitely the same as the Democratic Party. After being pressed about her nonsensical response she finally volunteered that the issues is that the power of the party is at stake.
A light bulb went on. These are people who are entrenched in the party politics and have been forever. They owe their allegiance to and positions of influence to the Clintons. When Obama is nominated they are definitely out. But hold on a minute! If Obama looses the election guess who is STILL in control of the Democratic Party. Now a clear motive and strategy unfolds for those seemingly irrational people. They are very rational and dangerous. They care more about their access to power and possible ascension to that power than they care about winning an election. The reality is that it is not even about Obama. It is all about them.
Regardless of what happens, the Clintons will still be protected. Surely they loose the positions of King and Queen of the party but they are not banished and will remain influential. However, the Clintons can not fulfill the promises that may have been made to the faithful who worked so hard for them starting with Hillary’s run as a senator in NY. It is difficult for them to see their efforts go up in smoke and have an upstart from Illinois place in those coveted party positions.
It is all about loss of POWER!

Larry...I completely agree.
Towards the end of the primary, Hillary, Bill and their supporters were desperate. There desire to win was strange. It was more than just wanting to be President, wanting to do what's best for the country. It was desperate. As if they HAD to win.
I have maintained that the Clintons owe a lot to a lot of people. The Clintons come with a lot of baggage, and we are seeing it.
This is, indeed, bigger than Obama. You notice how they never really blame him. They blame everyone and everything except him.
I remember thinking about what I would do if Obama lost. It never occurred to me to vote for McCain. I said that I'd write Obama in, or stay home. But there was nothing in me that wanted revenge like they seem to want. So strange.

I think you are right. There is power and, don't forget, money at stake. Bill has proclaimed that he is so proud to see what a leader Hillary has become. I believe the Clintons feel they should continue to be the leaders of the party. And again, you are right, that is what all the maneuvering around the convention is about.

There is a huge money component involved here. Let's not forget Paul v. Clinton and pardongate where people sold favors freely. I believe Hillary's brothers were involved in this as well.
The Clintons have wealthy donors and owe them. It is therefore crucial for them to remain in power at all costs.

Also, I just heard on Countdown that these right wing groups are buying these books by the hundreds, perhaps even the thousands and then distributing them out.
So, when the NY Times puts the book as number one on its bestseller list, it has a HUGE asterisk beside it.
Barack's book, on the other hand, will be a REAL bestseller.

John,
I was wondering the same thing if someone could sue him for the book of lies. I am wondering if the supporters could sue Corsi. I saw KO's show which was hosted by Rachel Maddow discussing this book and how the campaign will fight back, but one of the things interesting is that the footnotes shows that the author is citing his own previous works to support his lies.
I am wondering if there is a hungry lawyer who is willing to do something out of the box and help the Obama family sue this individual for defamation of character.

He ensure his points got through to the guests. Not to talk bad about Chris Matthews - but he would have let some of the counter-arguments fly (like that poplar vote fuzzy math theory).
I really think it's time for Chris Matthews, Larry King, and David Gergan to just leave the world of journalism - sense they cannot get it right. Make room for Chuck Todd (who is turning out to be an outstanding professional) and Rachael M.

Boycotting actual bookstores will draw more attention to this book than we want.
Instead of boycotting bookstores--which are usually small business people trying to make an honest living--we should target the publisher. It seems to me that the publishers should consider the reputation (or lack thereof) of the author before agreeing to publish unworthy books.

Maybe we can put out a John McCain for Dummies book full of all of the most nonsensical slanderous tidbits we can imagine. Leave it to Karl Rove's friends to drive the electorate back into the gutter instead of dealing with the real problems we need to solve. Months after its preferred candidate dropped out of the presidential race, the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is set to endorse Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) Thursday.
The IAFF, which originally endorsed Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.), said Thursday that one of the deciding factors in its decision were the votes Obama and rival Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) had cast on the collective bargaining agreement that the labor union has been pushing for.
“On every issue important to firefighters, Sen. Obama is and has been in our corner,” Harold Schaitberger, the IAFF president, said. “We can’t overlook Sen. McCain’s service to our country, but we also can’t overlook his poor record on issues critical to the financial security of our 290,000 members.”
Obama was set to accept the endorsement by video message to the 3,500 IAFF members gathered at their summer convention in Las Vegas.
Another former candidate and a potential running mate for Obama, Sen. Joseph Biden (D-Del.), is scheduled to address the group on Obama’s behalf.

We must play the game of Karl Rove this election. Every time you hear Rove speaks, he down plays John McCain's chances and tries to paint him humble. And then hits.
We must play the game of Rove as the underdog--play as if we were down 15 points--play as if we were on a road game and the referee will not give us the benefit of doubt--play as if were up against an incumbent.
We must also ATTACK on a daily basis, character flaws and fallacious policies. As we fill in the blanks for the opponent, we introduce our ideas. The strategy is dictating the moves of the opponent--just like the game of chess. You want them queuing excuses and response, thereby, lacking a message. But of course, our candidate's hands must be clean.
After all, it is about winning.
Yes it is!

On Dan Abrams show they are talking about some breaking news that an incident with Obama's plane in June/July when he was traveling to N.Carolina for a speech, if you remember, the plane had to divert and land at another location. It turns out that there were serious problems on the plane to the point that the pilot had to radio to have a crash landing apparatus readied when they landed. Apparently, the pilot could not control the pitch of the plane; (the nose) would not go where directed. They didn't inform the passengers of this perhaps real emergency. But the pilot told the air control that Obama was on the plane and this was important. I'm still a bit stunned.

July 7th, on route to NC the Obama plane had to land in St.Louis, Missouri.
Seems that the pilot was having problems with the pitch if the plane at 30,000ft. It seems that there was concern enough that the pilot let Air Traffic Controllers know that Senator Obama was on board along with 50 other souls.
So, don't everyone freak out on this as it is another attempt from the RNC to show that we are just a bunch of "freaks", wanting extra special attention.....another ploy in the old school to get everyone excited and all wound up.
The pilot did the right thing, the ground control was there with firetrucks, etc. Don't make a big fuss about this unless the campaign says so...and I really doubt they will.
Commander in Chief-Obama doesn't get overly excited because he knows what he and this campaign are doing!
Stay focused!

The story also says that testing was done on Mark Warner and Tim Kaine of VA and Warner came off well, but Kaine did poorly due to lack of accomplishments and too much kissing up to Obama. Warner has since been chosen to be the Keynote speaker. They say it is also possible they were testing for a TV commercial.
These are not my words about Tim Kaine although many of us have been saying it all along.

The right wingnuts have taken to doing books as if they are campaign ads and using them in the same way. They throw the book together with fake footnotes (in this one the author references himself in most of them) and then all the Repug PACs pre-purchase the bulk of them so that it breaks out on the best seller list the first couple of weeks. Then they give the books away to undecided voters.
It's a dirty little trick because it's filled with lies but looks legit because of the fake pre-sales. But dirty is what they do best.

If James Carville is a Democratic strategist and believes in the truth, how can he sit back and support his wife in publishing this book? Is being a party loyalist so important that you undermine the very system design to elect the best possible person for the highest office in the land and idly sit by allow a family member to defame a person who potentially can help to lead this country to a better and brighter future?
Maybe he is hoping that this book will undermine Senator Obama's chances so that he can become the center of attention by helping Senator Clinton in 2012. I am disappointed in James Carville, but I guess when a person has the ethics of a snake you can not expect a lot of integrity from the individual.

In the first place, James Carville does not control his wife and they leave politics outside the door when they go home. And in the second place, while it's true that James is a strategist, I'm not sure he is all that interested in "truth". His main interest is in spinning it so his candidate can win. That's not the same thing.

This entity who obviously sent box tops to receive a PhD may try to be the center of his realm, and it just might be true. He's the one who's truly black, devoid of matter and tries to suck in everything around him merely to elevate the facade of his non-existent importance. Freedom of speech does not include the calculated, conspired infection of propaganda. Corsi is an excellent candidate to use his mouth for something other than talking, and Rush can be first in line.
Taken as a whole, the Republican Party along with their extorting, favor-exchanging extremist right-wing sludge, should be disbanded. They behave like pirates, looting, pillaging, fighting, lying, cheating, raping and attacking all in their path. At least pirates have a code of honor amongst themselves, a quality the "right" does not possess. They are old, cantankerous hypocrites, and it is time for them to be suppressed and learn a taste of their own actions. But most people are better than to stoop to their level of insanity. The best we people can do is use our power to vote to wrest away from the Republicans as much influence on our politics and our lives as we possibly can. Push them far away and not let them back until they learn to behave and be civilized.
The fourth reich of Bush's presidency must be squashed, as any tyranny must. And I can only hope we could ignore fat, old, mentally lazy, self bloated men like Jerome Cours-eye, Bill O'rally and Rush Limpball, and treat their evil, hate-mongering stance upon the world with the greatest disdain.
This country needs to seek justice for the crimes of propaganda, war and treason that we and the world has had to endure. And every one of those who promoted these atrocities and offer the American people only a black hole.

Some of the problem of not finding jobs is the fact that some employers move around to area's with cheaper employment and better tax incentive's, and not all 20 mil(?) illegals are NON-English speaking and/or employed - some are actually going to school, raising families and several start there own business. But one big reason why they get hired is lower pay request, some under the table schemes, as well as not turning in Worker's comp. claims.
Yes there is a huge problem when it comes to getting people to a job these days and it is not A RACE problem believe ME. America and the world are changing, remember how young America is .

Thanks to HQ's for responding to these books, We all know there is much better reading. I believe one posisitve one to pick up is "Obamanomics" I heard the author on c-span book tour this past weekend, he is an economist that believes in ground up economics as opposed to trickle down, which I believe we could easlily convince some R's to join us under that arguement.
Empower those at the bottom and WE WILL rise up on our own. (Correct me if I'm wrong - But I suggest HQ's gives us some guidence on books that come out)

America does not care. Bush made it in based on nothing and after admitting alcohol and cocaine abuse. Do you really think America cares if Barry smoked even crack, come on get over it, just look at the TRUTH(OUT) and MOVE-ON will you.
I think Barack has said changing drug laws would send the wrong message so unless he changes on that position, which he may do after he contacts the PEOPLE of America and ask's them what they want instead of just people who think they know it all and GET IT.
Barack is what we need in Washington now at this time.
I am sorry you fill otherwise but your comments here won't sway any minds here.
America wants to talk about our future and we don't need bogged down with the past.

For what it's worth, (and it probably doesn't mean much, since this is deep in the non-relevant neighborhood):
I grew up in the Northeastern part of Oregon; farm lander territory. With that, it was defintiely a mostly Republican populated area. I wasn't by any means a Bush man, but grew up respecting the Reagan ways and was told that the economic leadings of the Reagan his thoughts were the American way.
Fast forward to eight years ago, I followed my teachings and did vote for George W. on the initial election against VP Gore. I felt that it was time for the Country to embrace a new strong-hold of the global economy and try to bring total power to the U.S....man, was I wrong.
side note -I by no means believe that GWB is responsible for 9/11,but he didn't help....that can be another post....
Fast forward-I have now changed my ways, possibly maturity or having a politcal epiphany, by I am a recovering democratic fully embracing Mr. Obama. I will do everything in my power to ensure that OUR country has this man leading OUR families in the right direction.
Mr. Obama has already touched my life by the way that he motivates our country and people. He gives hope and guidance in what we can expect. What he lacks in Oval Office experience (so does John McCain) he gains in socialness(that may not be a word, but hell with it) of people.
All I know, is I want this man to lead OUR COUNTRY and I'll do what EVER it takes. GO STRONG MR. OBAMA!!!!!!

1) THE OBAMA NATION, by Jerome R. Corsi. (Threshold, $28.) The Democratic candidate as an extreme leftist, from the co-author of “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry.” (†)
First off, what the hell is this book doing in the non-FICTION section, after Barack's campaign slammed every facet of the book as lies?
Second, note the emblem at the end of the description - which means some group bought a ton of this book and most of them could be sitting in boxes in some storage room - UNread!!!

The lastest “clean campaign” slander from the McCain camp. Here is Corsi’s justification for pushing his bag of puke.“In an interview with The Associated Press, Corsi defended raising the issue of drugs without any evidence. "I don't need more," he said. "I'm putting this question forward. I'm putting the evidence forward. Voters can make up their own minds." ****There is no evidence. Even his footnotes are fake. He often quotes as his expert sources – himself!!!
Constitution expert Professor Meiklejohn testifed before Congress: The First Amendment gives our nation freedom of the Press so that our citizens “can be given the information they need to govern themselves in a democracy.”
Corsi's Bigfoot lies do not help our nation’s voters gain the facts so they may "govern themselves in a democracy."
Corsi and publisher Maitlin, who worked for Cheney, are both traitors. They collaborated to fool the voters instead of enlightening them. They collaborated to destroy America's democratic electoral process and to cheat us of correct information about a presidential candidate.
While claiming that this book is on the best seller list at the NYTimes, the Times is a little less than honest. Check out the dart next to the books’ “No. 1 Best seller” notation – it means that it is NOT a best seller by virtue of individual sales -- but a rigged evaluation created by groups (right wing?) buying the book in bulk so that it looks like a winner. What corporate supported sleeze bags.

US is soaked in lies, hopelessly.
It is not only in terms of internal politics, its about international affairs as well. The smear machine that Obama feels on himself works as well on Russians in relation to conflict in Georgia these days, with only difference that Russians can not do much to counteract in US media, beside few random individual bloggers here and there.
It is scary, just plane scary.

the splashing of the Time review comment on the cover of "unfit for publication" may lead some to think that time thinks that 'unfit for publication' is packed with lies, not the book it's responding to.
While it's a nice artistic touch, be careful reinforcing the wrong message in responding to the lies.
This technical 'mistake' is a repetition of the early layout 'mistake' when rolling out the original format of the anti smear website as well. Thus I would suggest that someone needs to review these 'publications' from an external perspective for unintentional inforcement of the smears.
It's a minor thing, but please be careful.
thanks.

PUMA were exposed on TV as nothing but a ‘REPUGNANTAN BACKED’ set of bumbling FOOLS that don't know their ass from their elbow.
THE SAD THING IS THAT
The Hillary fans who were SUCKERED into PUMA'S lies and BULLSHIT by thinking they were relieving Hillary of her campaign debt were in actual fact,.. funding the RNC and John McCain.
Hillary has 'near enough' the SAME amount of debt that she incurred 2 months ago. I really don’t think those Hillary supporters who refused to back Obama realized where all their donations really went. Now poor Hillary has to 'write off her debt' as a personal loss.
The old saying goes….
PRIDE GOETH BEFORE THE FALL
Those Hillary fans who refused to embrace Barack Obama were indignant and vengeful when Hillary lost and it led them to be suckered, used and abused by ‘Rush Limbaugh’ and the Republicans.

I believe the media is responsible because the press is so easily manipulated by the Chaney/Rove machine(I would include Bush but he couldn’t manipulate himself out of a wet bag.) The attack on the media has always worked for them before. Is the press is not allowed to even ask Palin probing questions? Is she above answering questions? What is in Gods’ name (yes I’m a Christian) is wrong with this picture? She would in all likelihood (McCain’s age and history of cancer) become the most powerful human on EARTH! The Republicans don’t want her talking to the press after one serious discussion with a creditable news man. There is a video of her saying she doesn’t know what a vice president does! Her foreign policy experience consists looking out her kitchen window at Russia. In the interview she thinks a war with Russia may be necessary to defend Georgia! Yea you and how’s army? Is this not enough to make her unelectable? They have propped her up as an advocate for women but she is even more anti-women’s rights than Bush/McCain. She is a right wing religious nut! She doesn’t believe in globe warming, evolution or a woman’s right to equal pay. She’s against stem cell research. She against a women’s right for choice even in the case of a 12 year old child who has been raped by her step-father. Even after the documented truth has come out she continues the LIES about the bridge to now where. She hired lobbyists to get the ear marks! She’s thin minded puppet like Bush, easily spewing the right wing nonsense. They really do think they can bate and switch. I’m praying this county has wised up in the last 8 nightmarish years. Bush won with the same non-sense about a “kinder and gentler” Republican.
These republicans used the media for propaganda that pushed us into a preemptive stupid costly war with the wrong country. They are now using the Nixon tactics of stonewalling the press and the courts in Alaska!
Obama campaign should put the corruptions and scandals at the feet of these two because they have been complisit. Just naming then all in one list may be enough enlighten these uninformed undecided. Google “Bush scandals.” There are over 300 and counting.
I am a woman seriously afraid we will have awful consequences if Barack doesn’t win.
