Hello all - Since I'm unemployed at the moment, I thought it might be wise to do something productive with my time, like support Obama's healthcare plan. I am in favor of a public option. I've never had health insurance in my entire adult life, so the idea of a public option really excites me, and I will be gravely disappointed if it passes without. I'm getting older and the idea of going without healthcare is bordering stupidity. But the costs are so high, it is impossible for me. I can barely afford the prescription I fill every month. I also work freelance jobs, so getting insurance through a company is not an option for me. So, I'm getting involved, learning more about the plan and trying to volunteer some of my time to see that our Congress passes some reasonable legislation - with a public option for those like me, who have never been able to afford health insurance. Would love to hear thoughts from others about your experiences. I know you're out there! Let's make our voices heard - just like we did in this past election! Let's make our voices heard about this important and defining issue of our time!
