Aloha! On Friday, I attended the Stand for Change Rally at the University of Hawai'i (UH) with Hawai'i-born actress Kelly Hu and Maya. The energy at the rally was terrific. It was inspiring to watch them deliver an elegant and compelling argument for Barack. Over 150 people listened to Kelly and Maya explain why people should support Barack and both described their experiences on the campaign trail. Kelly has been a tireless "Obamateer" and a strong Obama advocate in the Asian Pacific American community. She also stars in the excellent Yes We Can music video.

The rally at UH was a special event for us as the school is part of our family. Maya and I met at UH while earning our PhDs. Barack and Maya's mother earned her PhD from UH. The university campus, specifically the East-West Center, is the place where they held the wake for their mother.
