We need to ask Obama to stop being so humble and gracious, be a bit bold, and come up with a list of his hypothetical cabinet members!
If he names a few names, names that are powerful and influential, names that include progressive Democrats, capable Independents, and even a couple of decent Republicans, he can make it easier for a lot of those superdelegates to get behind him!
By revealing a little glimpse of what his "Bipartisan Dream Cabinet" would look like, not only he'll get to switch many of those Democratic superdelegates his way, but he can even get a few Republican endorsements!!!!
Did anybody catch a little Freudian slip from Colin Powell's mouth today when he was answering Wolf Blitzer's question about whether or not he would at some point endorse Obama?
He said something to the effect of:
I have to see who he's gonna nominate in his cabinet!!!!
Interesting!!! eh?! :-)
The fact that Republicans are stuck with a 75 year old warmonger who can't even excite his own Republican Establishment, gives obama the PERFECT chance to try and win the support of some Republican big shots!
He needs to demonstrate his promise of a UNIFIER by proving it with a nonpartisan and unified cabinet! Something Hillary would NEVER want to do, even if she was capable of doing it, which she isn't anyway!
Now People, think about this ...
That Bipartisan Forum that convened at Oklahoma University on January 7th 2008 (the night before the NH primaries), is the best place to look if he wants to come up with some ideas for a couple of good anti-war Republicans who can be effective and constructive in his administration.
Here's the entire session:

I can see Chuck Hagel (being a good anti-war fair-minded decent Republican) as an acceptable possibility for some position in the White House, I can even see the Independent mayor of NYC Michael Bloomberg as a good candidate for an important position, perhaps the Secretary of Treasury or Commerce (having been an extremely successful businessman)!
I don't recognize any other name on that list of 17 bipartisan wise men/women but I'm sure there will be a number of excellent choices among them for his "Dream Cabinet Members"!
And, ...
As for his ex-rivals, the Democrats whose endorsements and support could be quite instrumental in Obama's nomination, I can think of a number of AMAZING choices:
Hillary Clinton as the Secretary of Health,
John Edwards as the US Attorney General (if not VP),
Bill Richardson as the Secretary of State,
Joe Biden as the National Security Adviser,
Chris Dodd as the Secetary of Education, ...
He can even mention a few names out of Hillary's current list of endorsers, like:
Madelaine Albright as the US Ambassador to United Nations
Welsley Clark as his Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff given Colin Powell accepts his offer of the Secretary of Defense appintment.
... and for the two most important causes of the 21st century, he can nominate the following men ...
Bill Clinton as the US Special Secretary of War Against Global Poverty
Al Gore as the US Special Secretary of War Against Global Warming
So people, ...
Let's ask him to come up with these hypothetical names, and let people imagine the possibilities!!!
What's wrong with being a little bit "presumptuous"??? I think it's quite acceptable, am I wrong people?
Obama All The Way!
