What was particularly impressive is that when politicians say they'd like to fairly present the other candidate's views to address them, they usually actually grossly misrepresent them. But Sen. Obama explained their positions fairly and compared them with his.

He did of course go on to point out that this difference was also trivial and politically motivated, which nobody can deny, but he did not dismiss their argument right off the bat. It's that sort of openness to others' ideas that we need.

I was really struck by that too. Obama doesn't need to misrepresent the other candidates in order to make cheap political points. His policies and proposals are demonstrably better when the facts of all the differing plans are laid out truthfully.

Again we are talking about personal integrity. He is simply miles above the other leading candidates on this.

Thats a great piece of video..I wish he would make a point to explain the healthcare debate like that at every stop without the people evem asking him the question.

Then the 15 million out wouldnt get such huge play in the media.

I think that it is really important for Barack Obama's detailed description of the differences between his and HRC/JE's healthcare plans be made available to all.

Therefore, I'm recommending that we post this video on as many sites as possible. I've posted it on Politico, where this subject is the focus of two of Ben's entries today.

It's time we debunk the myth that HRC and JE will cover more citizens with their mandates.

It didn't work so well the last time around, in 2004.

So, the next time someone you know, or meet for the first time, seems to be repeatedly all negative against Barack Obama, try using this response:

"ABB (anybody but Bush) didn't work the last time in '04.

But hey, feel free to keep up your ABB (anybody but Barack) in '08. All that negativity should help Obama."

I'm just tired of all the negativity, against Obama and even against other dem candidates.

Being FOR someone won out versus being AGAINST someone, in the last presidential election. IMO it will do so again this time too.

I'm 28 years old and Black. It's been a very difficult life for me. But I do have hope. If Barack becomes president of this nation I will for once in my life actually feel like I genuinely belong in this country. A great deal of internal rage against Whites has subsided because I now truly see that many White men and women are serious about his candidacy because he truly has the wisdom and statesmen-like manner to truly pull this nation out of it's morass. You've renewed my spirit and it warms my heart to see that you're not willing to let this nation go under rather than choose this decent, wise and remarkable man. If he doesn't get into office, I guess I'll just blame the DieBold (HACKABLE) E-VOTING MACHINES. Ohio has scrapped them because of this. I hope you guys are demanding they get scrapped as well before our next election. Here's a link:

I watched four of the videos on Hacking Democracy and decided to try and get back to Alex to sort of jump to the end and ask: Have they fixed the problem? What is recommended? Should we each ask our local counties what sort of machines they use and file a protest or what? Is it just Diebold or are there other problematic companies? You are right, we need to be worried if these can be hacked.

Good Morning this is a awesome video, I believe that Senator Obama makes excellent points. A couple items.

I would like to see him:
1. Not mention his opponents by name - Just say the folks who are my opposition support this, I believe that what we are doing is better etc.
2. Health Care - Since Americans do not have health care because they cannot afford it, what will my opposition do?
A. Force all americans to buy insurance even if they cannot afford it.
B. Lock them in jail
C. Assess additional fines, if they can't afford insurance how will they afford the fine,
D. Since we do not know American families financial abilities, are we going to strong arm them into insurance and create a worse financial situation for these families.

My plan will NOT force Americans to buy insurance, we trust the American people, and we will put in place a program that will lower the cost so that Americans will be in a position to purchase health insurance.

With regards to college students, our insurance will continuing cover students between the ages of 18 - 25 under their parents coverage. This will allow a transistion for youth while they are making their way through college or assist them until they have found employment that has coverage.

Over all - what Senator Obama is doing is the right thing. We Democrats also do not want our President to tell us what to do, but we are willing to accept options. Senator Obama can repeat again and again, that Democrats do not want the President telling them what to do - they want the option to make their own decision when it comes to issues such as health care or education.

We will give America back to the people and we will make sure that your voice is heard.
