One Degree: It’s Hot in Here - There Must Be Some Hope in the Atmosphere

As Barack’s swing through Iowa continues, we’re encountering packed venue after packed venue. Last night in Spirit Lake it was about thirteen degrees out but weather.com said it felt like one degree – and still more than 500 people came out on Sunday night to hear Barack and ask questions.

He took a couple of questions, including on immigration and curtailing the influence of special interests in Washington. He was asked about education policy and outlined his education proposals, adding:
At each stop he has talked about the tremendous opportunity Iowans have to help decide who the next leader of the free world is. He asks everyone to make sure to caucus--even if they aren’t caucusing for him--because the process is too important to not participate.
Many people have never caucused before, but it’s fun and easy. It usually takes about an hour and is basically a neighborhood meeting. If you have questions about what goes on in a caucus, you can watch this video, check out our Caucus Center, or contact your local field office. (Sometimes there are even cupcakes.)
Barack has more stops today in Spencer, LeMars, Cherokee, and Sioux City. Stop by if you’re in the area! Check our website for other events near you. Here are some pictures from yesterday’s events: Algona, Emmetsburg, Estherville, and Spirit Lake.

Parents, you’ve got to turn off the tvs and shut down the video games. [And] our students have to understand that education is not a passive activity. You don’t just tip your head over and have it pour in....You’re gonna hear me as President not just talking about programs--I’m going to be talking about our obligations to our kids.He closed by asking everyone there to come out and caucus for him on Thursday, January 3rd, and said that the weather couldn’t be much worse than it was last night. The crowd responded with laughter and Barack grinned and said, “Allright, well not THAT much worse. I’m from Chicago, I know bad weather.”

I suggest that HQ (ie: Barack and others) make the following comparison in their statements:
Hillary = change to the past
Obama = Change to the future
Hillary = Old Guard
Obama = Forward-looking
Hillary = Same old, same old
Obama = A new day
Motto: "Out with the old, in with the new. That is what America is all about!"
Can "Hillary as the change agent",fix this problem? Toxic Living in FEMA Trailers? "Houston", reporting-"My personal confidence in the government was never strong to begin with but since Katrina, it has become non-existent, "said James Ferguson, a former resident of four endured a brief stay in a mobile home after displacement by the hurricane.
Can "Hillary as the change agent", fix this problem? According to Washington report today, "Americans prisons hold over 1.5 million "Unlocking America" "The why and how to reduce America's prison population, "a report by the JFA Institute, found increased incarceration did little to reduce crime."
Can "Hillary as the change agent", fix this problem? "Youth advocate criticize proposed gang laws", Los Angeles, reporting", Black and Latino lawmakers should be wary of two pieces of legislation working their way through Congress that could mean more targeting of youth instead of curbing crime, warn civil liberties advocates".
In closing, I certainly hope that the HQ is listening to this, and will address these concerns in my Senator Barack Obama platform because this would be really great. In fact, this important information of feedback would be great. Barack Obama 2008.

Bill with his slick tongue on Charlie Rose Friday casting a light of change and experience towards his wife and an image of hopeful blabber towards Obama.
What change would Hillary bring when the republicans are gearing up for another slug fest with her and Bill? The sad part about all this is that's the kind of fight the Clinton Camp wants. The same ol crap we saw in the 90's.
That's not change.
WAKE UP!
Hillary is the bridge to the 20th century
Obama is the bridge to the 21st.
I would add that Barack talk about this moment. He's said before that maybe for another time, he may not be the right candidate. But he's the right candidate for this moment (in our history). I think that would reconcile people's conflicting thoughts.

BARACK on to victory in 2008!
This notion is exactly where change begins: within the heads of our children and at the point of departure of information and media. The truly vulnerable medium that is the most writable comprising our population is the collective psyche of our youth. There is no other candidate either Republican or Democrat who resounds so solidly in emphasizing how critical this aspect of our culture is to our future.
We need to change how we prepare our web-centric population in handling the volume of the information we deliver our children. We also need to provide them a chance to make something of that information rather than becoming mere links inside the larger page.
Tell it, Obama, not what we want to hear, but what we need to hear!
Reality check.
So keep in mind on whether Obama is overfilling his townhall rallies.
I dont know in what town Obama was today , but 500 is pretty nice number in some rural town.
If Obama is starting to jamed those towhalls , we could be into something big.
On the way to Waterloo, we stopped at a Kum & Go store in Ames, and the headline on The Tribune (Ames newspaper) for everybody to see was Obama leading the poll, with a nice picture of Barack. At that time, Dec 15, Obama was at 33, HRC & Edwards tied at 24. We still have much work to do, but There's a feel of hopeful anticipation in the air in Iowa - my biased observation. It's magical.
They are, after all, human like me and you (can you imagine the weather they must have to deal with almost every year?) They have faced tougher decisions, and I am sure important ones as well.
So regardless of the color of their skin, Iowans all know that their decision in January will be an historic one. Make no mistake, they will make THE ONE choice that is best for America (I feel it in my gut, people!)
BARACK on to 2008!
I feel like if Kerry could get as many as he got, Obama could get far more, especially in the National Election.

Barack has been drawing the biggest crowds of any candidate of either party for many months now.

Yea, that video was cool and had me laughing and smiling too.
Barack has the young people, the older folks, middle aged folks. He's got us all.
We love Barack -- he is an exceptional human being.
With all the voter support he has -- he will is sure to win.
Go Barack! It's getting hot in here!
I got a kick out the interview David Gregory did with Hillary on the Today Show. She was getting a little angry.

I have seen Zakaria several times as a guest on The Daily Show, and he has always been thoughtful and insightful.

The endorsements announced Monday include Idaho's House Minority Leader Wendy Jacquet, of Kethchum, state senator Mike Burkett, of Boise and Ada County Commissioner Paul Woods.
Officials say they have also received the backing of Jerry Brady, the Democratic nominee in Idaho's gubernatorial race last year.
Seriously, large crowds at this stage mean victory as they did for Kerry in Iowa. Keep the photos coming!
accusations or else we are doomed ; bob kerry
has twice now made comments about obama going to a madrassa and to the fact that he is from a muslim background

But she surely has her attack dogs out now. I predict it will backfire.
quote from article:
Bandung said he had heard the rumor that Obama went to a radical Islamic school. He showed a picture of Obama with the Scout group.
"The girls wore miniskirts. There's no way miniskirts would be allowed at a madrassa," he said. Another photo of teachers at the school shows both males and females wearing Western-style clothing. The women are also wearing miniskirts.
ps...keep in mind that many Americans have read Barack Obama's self-written bestselling books. He spent some years in Catholic school there. Thekids, at that time, treated him(like a foreigner--different looking).

They think Clinton has done herself in and has taken Barack down enough for them to take Iowa.
They seem pretty confident. A couple of weeks ago they seemed downright depressed.
But that's their take. My take is that Edwards will finish second and Hillary very far down
So with Iowa 17 days awayh how do you feel about our chances? What outcome do you predict, what do you think the results will be?
I've been watching Edward's site a little and keeping up with news about everything. People are so tuned into this primary it's crazy. The Internet has only helped to vocalize everyone.
Honestly, I think Obama has a slight edge right now. Edwards will do well, but I can't in good conscience say that Hillary is doing badly. I mean, she, herself, is doing badly... but she has some hardcore supporters who just wants the 90's back and voting for her because she's a woman, all issues aside.
I honestly believe Barack has a chance, but it's blown out of proportion in the polls. There is still work to do and I believe that is the outlook we always should have. Never - ever get comfortable. We need a sense of urgency that will continually instill the drive that we need to bring this home and bring about true change!
READY TO GO!
I don't see Hillary doing to well in Iowa. Her supporters are mostly elderly, and they tend to be conservative anyway, the democratic caucus goers to tend to be younger, and they support Barack more. Among likely caucus goers does have a good following, better than Clinton and Edwards.
I do think we can't get comfortable. We gotta work like we're down 6. It's the fourth quarter, we're down, we have 2 minutes left, we need to mount a drive to win the game.
But honestly this is how I think it'll go down.
Obama 48%
Edwards 30%
Clinton 17%
I do think Obama and Edwards will pass Clinton by a large margin just because she's so disconnected with the average voter, especially in the midwest.
And I think that the hillacopter is the biggest mistake she's going to make. It's going to cost her the state, it makes her look desperate.
It also says that she really does take Obama seriously and does fear him.
And like I've said before, she's sending out military generals, and government officials to canvass in this blitzkrieg. Those aren't exactly warm people. Those types actually make me feel uncomfortable. And honestly "Magic" Johnson? Athletes are not endorsements Id seek.
there is only 17 days left, actually, 10, because one week is gone due to the Christmas week.
