The Barack Obama campaign are not doing enought to push voter registration and there are so many things they could do.
Out of the 3 democratic candidates,Barack has the most potential to not only get his supporters to do more for him, but to also get many unregistered Americans to register and vote for him because of his politic of hope and change.
Some type of initiative needs to start now so that we can register as many voters as possible.
I've heard that they(Obama campaign) are mainly leaving the voter registration stuff to their small grassroots, but i really feel that they are making a big mistake by not pushing it themselves and do it very aggressively.
In my opinion, they should come up with some type of gimmick like the "walk for change" or"dinner for 5" but this plan should emphasize voter registration and how to become a registrar and register people in your community.
Maybe the campaign could set a goal of 2 million new voters nationwide for barack
1.sent out emails to everyone on the Obama email list and inform them that they will be pushing a new initiative just like the "walk for change" gimmick but this one is met to turn donors into registrar for the purpose of registering as many voters as possible.
2.Frontpage the rules on how to do registration drive or how to become registrar so that everyone knows exactly where to get the forms and the rules of their states
3.Create a map just like the "walk for change" map and once a person has become a registrar or is registering folks by handing out registration-forms,this person will show up on the new computerize map along with how many voters this specific person registered....Now, the problem is whether the Obama camp would be able to verify whether the specific person did indeed register the amount of person he/she claims to have registered.
The map would neatly show how many Obama-registrar there is on a specific location/area/state and how many voters those registrars have registered so far and maybe a goal could be set for the South Carolina or NJ registrars...We could have at least 20 registrars working in the state of South Carolina alone.
Is it anything illegal in this plan or initiative?
