I know alot of people that either aren't willing or able to make any contribution to the presidential candidate they will vote for. I think this is a poor way of thinking. I'm not the best speech giver, but I'll photoshop some amazing banners or designs that are needed just as much by the campaign as are the door to door knocking individuals. Helping out can be as simple as writing once a week in a blog about Barack Obama, and then emailing it to some people you know. I believe that in the world we live in, the more that is said about Obama, the more people will pay more attention to who and what he represents, and in return, the more people will see how much we can truly do to fix this country.
A perfect example of someone doing what they're good at for the cause was in Will.I.Am's Barack Obama YES WE CAN video that has been making its course around the tubes recently. Here was a signer who did something that more than likely motivated thousands of people to do more than what they previously were doing.
For my own contribution to the campaign, you can see the Barack Obama grassroots website I've blogged about, and all the effort is starting to work. Thousands of young voters are placing the image of Obama into their myspaces, and in return, are getting tens of thousands of eyes on him that might not have even considered him if I as an artist create an image that people love to share.
Writers, artists, musicians, people with and without money... everyone can help.
