Reasons for the mortgage defaults : People lost their jobs due to the way Bush ran his agenda: More people than ever have had to file bankruptcy due to medical bills they could not pay because they have no insurance which goes back to no jobs: The price of fuel due to the oil companies(friends of Bush) manipulating prices to line their pockets. The massive amount of money the war in Iraq has cost all of us.
Sure many people were victims of mortgage brokers who over assessed their homes in order to justify the amount of money they loaned the home owner. But I believe the vast majority of homeowners who defaulted were also victims of the Bush policies, inadequate regulation, jobs moving overseas, the breaking of the Unions, no plan to provide relief from high medical bills and the high price of fuel which affects everything we buy from food to clothing due to the fact most of our commodities are trucked across the country.
The failure of our economy can be laid at the feet of Bush and John McCain.
