Submitted comment to NYT political Blog for today. The New York Times is accorded the title "The Newspaper of Record for the United States" -- an accolade which is well deserved. And yet you permit a Republican operative -- Todd Harris-- to misquote Michelle Obama in a serious matter and in a very serious way. She did NOT say she was "proud of her country for the first time in her lifetime." She said she was "really [=very, intensely] proud" of her country "for the first time in her adult lifetime." And that, I submit, differs strongly in both denotation and connotation. I realize full well that HRC seems willing to destroy the Democratic Party with the help of "Russ Limbaugh" Republicans in her desperate effort to win at any cost. My question is: Is the New York Times willing to destroy its own editorial record of achievement to pursue the same goal?

seems they have pulled the entire blog article.
:D
(of course a retraction would have been nice but what do you expect...)
