I am curious to find out how your co-workers feel about the election. Is it split? Is there a clear favorite? How about your community?
I may as well start by saying I live in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. This area has been politically mixed. This is a surprise given the long labor history here. The congressman here is Charles Dent( republican). However the Mayors of Easton, Bethlehem and Allentown are all Dems.
I dont have a real feel yet for the general election, either among co-workers or the community. Working for the Post Office I have always found it amazing how many of us vote aganist our best interests.
I believe with the proper amount of attention (lots) this red leaning area can be flipped, with Obama winning the general here and Ms. Sam Bennett beating the republican incumbant.
I am going to do whatever I can to ensure happy days are here again.
I will say more about Congressman Dent tommorrow.
