About The new Quebec ethic and religious culture issue.
Going against the will of the people and parents concerned, the government of Quebec requires all children in Quebec to follow a new religious and moral state curriculum! This is called the new compulsory " Ethics and religious culture curriculum" We believe this violates the law and international agreements. Parents are currently before the courts to enforce their rights. Thousands of parents are demanding respect for their rights, universal rights!
«Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children.» (art. 26.3 the Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
«The States Parties to the present Covenant undertake to have respect for the liberty of parents and, when applicable, legal guardians to ensure the religious and moral education of their children in conformity with their own convictions.» (art 18.4 International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights)
