Although many applications come with uninstallers, it is unavoidable that folder, files and registry settings are left behind. Having the right tool to check and clean up your pc is a must. Disk cleanup and disk defragmentation are the start of every PC cleanup. These are the first steps in improving PC performance. But an uninstaller tool is a valuable addition to help clean up your PC. A good disk clean up should clean up all unnecessary files, like temporary system files and temporary internet files. The files in these locations are changing frequently, so they contribute heavily to disk fragmentation. Cleaning up these files on a regular bases, followed by a disk defrag will help keep your system clean and fast. The next step in the PC cleanup process is privacy protection, computer security should be taken very seriously. Firewall and virus protection programs are of course essential components. But in order to really clean up a PC, you also need to clean your browsing and file usage history. MRU file lists and history lists need to be cleaned to protect your privacy. To complete the PC clean up, internet cookies need to be erased. They can track browsing information and keep private information for your convenience, but are a privacy threat as a result.
