Editor's note: This is a cleaned up version, sorry for the previous one that was too real.
I got my finger on the trigger so ni**az wonder whyBut livin in the city, it's do-or-die...One has to wonder, given the current state of America and its media outlets, how long it will take to brand Barack Obama as another home boy from the streets. You know what I mean? The kind Dr. Dre glorified in his prophetic cut "The Day the Ni**az Took Over" on the THC-infested album, The Chronic. If you don't like reality, leave now.(or delete my post -ed)
Because, I am back again, and telling it like it is. And yes I am as white as that loaf of wonder bread that just went up to $2.79 a loaf (probably due to increased gas prices in transport).I am not trying to fan flames. To the contrary, I want to squash them before they ignite.I'ma say this and I'ma gettin mine.If you ain't down for the Africans here in the United States, period point blank. If you ain't down for the ones that suffer in South Africa from apartheid and sh*t. Devil, you need to step your punk a$$ to the side, and let us brothers and us Africans step in and start puttin some funk in that a$$- All Quotes from Dr Dre, "The Day the Ni**az Took Over"...and THAT is what you can expect next on the FOX news bullhorn. I remember 1993 quite well. The 'riots' never hit Rochester, NY like they did Los Angeles or Miami, but I remember The Chronic coming out and being scared. Yeah, I was wondering how many home boys were ready to loot, or throw a cinder block at my head. And frankly, I couldn't blame them. I would be pissed off too. It was a surreal scene, for those of you who can't remember: OJ being cornered by the LAPD during the Yankees playoffs, Half of Compton, Los Angeles on fire, and a general feeling of "ohh... fu*k... here we go..." deep in your gut. Ah yes, the Good Old Days. ain't we lucky we got em... I was as much into "The Chronic" as Dr. Dre was back then, and yes, I expected nothing less than to be jacked at any moment between the Reginald Denny beating and the OJ verdict. . ....Me not out for peace and me not Rodney KingMe gun goes click, me gun goes bang—Yeah, and now it sems like only a matter of time before FOX news picks up on Obama carrying a big wooden stick and playing the Race Card for all its worth. I am sure the Friends of the South and the other yahoos behind the giant Confederate Flag put on display near the interstate in Florida are chomping at the bit now. "SEE, son? it's not a stick in Mr. Obama's hand, it.s a SPEAR, and...."Yeah, right. Rednecks. One has to hope that the American public is smarter than that. But at the root of this whole issue is a grim fact: There is a strong insurgency of racists living right here in our country and they will play to the general populace's fears, do anything, to ensure Obama does not get elected. Why, you ask? because if he does, they rationalize, we will have to deal with......ni**az start to loot and police start to shoot...I admit I was a sick racist cracker back then. But only due to my own absorbtion of the media and how it portraited the situation at the time. Yeah, C42D, they are coming, coming with a big wooden stick to beat your white ass down, so you better RUN... and run fast. But it's 2008, man. Is it over? Not hardly. A friend in Rochester just told me a story today about how a group of young African American boys swarmed him and his dog- a great dane - at a local park. While some of them honestly wanted to just interact with the giant dog, some were bent on fuc*ing with the dog and its owner. Walking away from the mob, my (white) friend heard someone in the group say, "white people smell like dog poop"... which may have been the case... but still, the kid is lucky he didnt release the great dane at that moment... But that is neither here nor there, the point is, racism, on BOTH sides, is alive and well. And BO‚ Mister soon-to-be president-elect, (we pray), that is where YOU come in.You see, I am a white guy who loves gangster rap. When I hear Dre talking about "Everybody peepin out the window when they hear me creepin' up the street," I want that to be YOU... Mr. Obama.... And they are peepin out the window. You have the country's attention. A country divided by economic hardship, stereotypes re-enforced by the media, and long, extremely drawn-out racial issues that need to be buried like the last cannon at Appomattox. . . But in the end, BO, you have to deal with cities upon cities of men and women who believe (and I agree, sh*t, I am practically there myself) that:Nobody told us today, in other words,You're still a slave. No matter how much money you got, you still ain't sh*t...So remember, as you are creepin' up the street, remember these words and don't just keep grinning and kicking it, because underneath the surface of this country is a dark underbelly of hatred and fear that those in power, like Bush, like McCain and the Oligarchy that surround them, those will be more than happy to play the Race Card to your detriment.Be on your guard, Barack. its like a Jungle, sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under...Yrs,C42DFlushing, NY
