An old grad from the Naval Academy, who's currently a judge in the DC area, told me that Ollie North hasn't been back to Annapolis since the Iran-Contra scandal. The reason: he has been silenced by his classmates for lying under oath during the congressional testimony. A clear violation of the USNA honor code, his classmates told him that they are not allowed to talk to him — in other words, they're giving him the silence treatment, the traditional punishment for breaking the honor code.

This judge is a die-hard Republican, so I have no idea why he'd make up something like that, and I've never investigated it, but it does seem odd that I've never heard mention of Mr. North appearing at Annapolis, for a speech, a football game, or a graduation.

Anyway, getting back on track...

McCain is danger-close to putting himself in the same boat.

At the military academies, quibbling is the same thing as lying.

And it is definitely quibbling to run around saying "Tell them to get back to work" when he failed to vote on this critical issue eight times.

John McCain recently tried to underscore his seriousness about pushing through a new energy policy, with a strong focus on more drilling for oil, by telling a motorcycle convention that Congress needed to come back from vacation immediately and do something about America’s energy crisis. “Tell them to come back and get to work!” McCain bellowed.

Sorry, but I can’t let that one go by. McCain knows why.

It was only five days earlier, on July 30, that the Senate was voting for the eighth time in the past year on a broad, vitally important bill — S. 3335 — that would have extended the investment tax credits for installing solar energy and the production tax credits for building wind turbines and other energy-efficiency systems.

Senator McCain did not show up for the crucial vote on July 30, and the renewable energy bill was defeated for the eighth time. In fact, John McCain has a perfect record on this renewable energy legislation. He has missed all eight votes over the last year — which effectively counts as a no vote each time. Once, he was even in the Senate and wouldn’t leave his office to vote.

I think the second topic (energy) of your post is diminished by posting on a personal, and thus weaker topic first. The second topic (energy) is one that can be pushed forward by the surrogates if we can make another news cycle out of it.

Particularly, it is very significant that while McCain was calling for congress to reconvene on offshore oil drilling (make not his call is without suggesting that we have an overall energy plan at the same time) he has recently passed on participating while congress was in session on issues of energy policy, such as the solar/wind bill.

Skipping votes on energy that would reduce the price of oil (by lessening demand) would make McCain seem that he is indeed the one culpable for higher oil prices AND McCain is the one that seems not to care whether Americans are suffering from high prices as the pump.

Given that McCain was in his office at the time of one of the votes (please reference and confirm this) definately makes his calls for reconvening congress a bit deceitful at best.

Rage Against the Machine will perform at an anti-war music festival during the Democratic National Convention.

The politically outspoken rap-rock band said Thursday it will perform at the Tent State Music Festival to End the War on Aug. 27 at the Denver Coliseum, a venue about 3 miles from the convention site. Others scheduled to perform include Wayne Kramer, who played with MC5 during the riotous 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago.

"I do this out of a sense of participating in democracy," said Kramer, who said he plans to vote for Democrat Barack Obama in November.

All the artists donated their time to perform in Denver, event publicist Carrie Lombardi said.

The Denver festival is hosted by Tent State University and Iraq Veterans Against the War. Organizers say about 8,000 tickets will be given away free by lottery.

LOL same thing happened to me as well. By the way, it may be down to Bayh and Biden, but you never know with this campaign. They may just lead us in that direction and pull a shocker maybe like Sebelius (sp?). I kind of hope it is Brian Schweitzer the governor or Montana.

I like Schweitzer. He knows his energy and the Middle East - two hot buttons. He speaks plainly and is conservative on some issues, like guns, but liberal on others like the environment.

After the "excitement" in Georgia, I'm thinking that Gen. Clark may get the nod. He's been the recent attack dog and can obviously counter any military experience on the GOP ticket. He also has experience with Central/South America having been in charge of the Southern Command and speaks Spanish.

I like Biden but his bluntness may get us in hot water. However, he's been a strong critic of the current administration and has a TON of foreign policy experience.

I constantly hear about Sebellius and I just don't see it happening. We're not going to win Kansas. And while she has campaigned vigorously for Barack - I remember seeing her in Ohio because she has roots there - I wasn't impressed by her delivery of the Democratic response to the State of the Union last year (I think Webb delivered this year's). She's a two-term governor but I haven't heard anything about her foreign policy experience. Schweitzer, at least, has lived and worked in Saudi Arabia and can speak Arabic. While he doesn't have foreign policy experience, per se, his personal experience there counts for something.

I can see both of them.

Both emphasize bipartisanship and the campaign said that they aren't looking for someone to carry their state. And both are good on energy policy which I think is even more important than FP.

And FP running mates shape the election on McCain's terms.

calm down...we have to put our egos aside and be bigger than that. Instead of making a big deal of it, Obama is doing the right thing by making sure people know that it is his idea to put her name into nomination. The Clintons are the Clintons and yes, I agree that we cannot let any perception of them getting their way persist...however, I don't understand how putting her name into nomination and then her officially releasing her delegates to support Obama the next night is not a good idea. Yes, we won, but she ran a historic campaign and we would be remiss if we did not recognize her significantly. I actually am not a big fan of hers at all...however, I don't just want Obama to win this election, I need Obama to win this election, and therefore, my own personal animosity comes second to anything that will help the greater good.

you have NO IDEA of how long this process takes and HOW DISRUPTIVE it is...all 50 states have to be gone thru and they all add little jabs like: "Ohio, birthplace of equality for women believes Hillary should be our next President" etc. and then there is chaos and this is repeated over and over with her "beaming" and waving - also - do NOT look for anything from Bill except to PRAISE his own virtues...sickens me...

Keep this in mind:

There have been fourteen nominating conventions since the end of WWII. Only two didn't have roll call votes. Yes, in some instances losing candidates have conceded their delegates either just before the convention or after the first ballot. But more candidates have not done so.

1948: Truman and Russell both received votes
1952: 8 different candidates, 3 ballots
1956: Made unanimous, after first ballot
1960: JFK, LBJ, Symington and Stevenson all received first vote ballots
1964: No roll call
1968: 9 candidates received first ballot votes
1972: 13 candidates received first ballot votes
1976: at least a dozen
1980: at least a dozen
1984: eight candidate (including a large Teddy Kennedy contingent)
1988: Jackson picks up 30 percent (a couple of others also got votes)
1992: half dozen or so, including Brown (nearly 600) and Tsongas (nearly 300)
1996: No roll call
2000: Roll call, but with Bradley's releasing delegates on eve of convention, it was essentially a one-sided vote with only a handful of abstentions to prevent it from being unanimous
2004: again, roll call was held, but with Edwards' delegates on board after their guy got the VP nod, only Kucinich, with around 40 plus votes, kept it from being unanimous.

I don't think allowing the Clintons to speak and have a little recognition will RUIN the convention.

Perhaps, hundreds or even thousands of other Democrats who really really like the Clintons will be even more inclined to vote for Obama after seeing how gracious he's being to the Clintons.

We will be rid of the Clintons for good on that date. Obama will run the country and the party. Sen. Clinton will be lucky to get re-elected to the senate.

Bryan, I feel the same way....I don't think Obama should be giving them anything...don't want them part of the campaign....

However, if giving them a big presence at the convention, letting them both make great speeches, honor her for her "remarkable" campaign and primary...if just overdoing the reaching out to her and her supporters (and having a strong otherwise convention, and solid VP) lets us in the weeks after the convention bring together the Democratic Party and be up 17 points, than that means 2 weeks after the convention WE DON'T NEED Hillary and Bill campaigning for us in Ohio or anywhere.....we don't need them constantly there....Once we have the democratic party united and energized it can be Obama's campaign again...

Also remember, half the people voting for Obama in November will have voted for another candidate in the primary....Hillary, Edwards, maybe supported Richardson but he left the race before their state voted....maybe they supported Ron Paul....anyways you have to realize when you insult the person they voted for in the primary, you are insulting them....This person who they thought would be a great president of the united states is now not worthy of anything, any praise, completemnet.s...it is just insulting to the people that supported her that now support Obama...

Obama is going to have to do this same thing after the general election...after he wins the general election....lets say he wins by a big margin but 40% of the people voted for McCain, Barr, Nader or whoever, they strongly oppose Obama and strongly support their candidate...Obama is not going to turn his nose at them...he is going to embrace them, reach out to them...he is not going to trash McCain in his victory speech...he is going to reach out to these supporters wanting not to alienate them as President..wanting them to know he wants to the President of all of america, not just the people taht voted for him...

This is diplomacy.....Let's just hope that between reaching out to Hillary supporters, a great VP selection, great convention we can in the weeks after be up 18 points, have twice as much volunteer effort registeirng voters and then we don't ened Hillary constantly tagging along and setting directives..

Also lets stop making jokes about what a horrible campaign she had, or what a horrible candidate she is, or criticizing her, she is no longer a cnadiate.

I wasn't too happy about the Clintons apparently dominating the Convention either...HOWEVER....it may be the wisest decision. I say this because I talked to my Aunt the other day, who is 58 years old. She voted for Sen. Obama in the primaries, but it was a very hard decision for her because of Hillary being a woman. She now is telling me that if Barack doesn't choose Hillary she probably won't vote for him...will sit it out.

I think more than anything, Barack is allowing this for the older women who have viewed this entire election through a different mindset than we younger folks..it has been very difficult on them to see a woman come so close and not clinch it. And...we need their votes in November.

So...hopefully it will be a graceful ending to a time period in Democratic politics that was anything but graceful and dignified.

I don't know when the Corsi book hits the shelves, but I would assume it is tomorrow if it hasn't already.

I think we should stage a national protest. Let's go to every Barnes & Nobles, Borders, etc with copies of the 41 page rebuttal to pass out to anyone who buys the book.

Even if we all just go there and hold a sign it would help to draw local media attention everywhere to discredit the book.

ryan, brilliant idea. we should all download and make as may copies as possible and pass them out for free. and maybe we should consider an economic boycott of some sort... not necessarily the book stores themselves, as we should all support freedom of expression, but maybe the publisher who agreed to sell this tripe.( no offense intended to people who actually like to eat cow stomach.)

I saw it today at Costco! I it was on the corner with high-visability...I flipped over each cover and then placed other books on top. It made me feel better that I could no longer see the cover! I hope people are smart enough to realize this is all crap..unfortunately I see it's on the best seller list. ARRG!

I worry about the economic consequences on the small bookstore owners resulting from a mass boycott by Obama supporters.

I'm not sure Obama would want us to handle it this way. Perhaps a better way would be to target the publisher, and hit them hard for agreeing to publish such trash.

I like the idea of getting the 40-page rebuttle out to people. Perhaps we could make it available on this website, if it's not already, and then just email or otherwise direct people to this site.

All these people wondering whether the publisher will be sued if the information is proven false, we must remember, there is no such thing as libel with political candidates...

You can be accused of pretty much anything....now if you can prove it false you can undermine the credibility and ethics of the accuser or other campaign...you can also attack them back, you can refute it but there is nothing legally you can do...the candidates are not focused on winning 1 million in a lawsuit, they want to win the election...

Here is the point of releasing a book like this...less than 1% of the voters will read it and most of these would not vote for Obama or any Democrat anyways....however the purpose is you are documenting this informaiton (which are lies) so others may reference it.....so the Fox News people can they repeat these lies and claim it says so here in this book, and ignorant people will assume it is true if it is in the book....Fox News won't have to waste time coming up with lies or finding ways to twist information so they can substantiate theire claims...they won't have to do research into Obama or his past to come up withit...

So 1 million people who already won't vote for him will read it...but 50 million other people will here this informaiton repeated on Fox News or Republican talk radio programs...that is the point...it is someting these people can cite....and if the book references that there is a document that proves it, the talk radio hosts or whoweve rwill say this exists and people will believe it...they will go to the low-information voters..

I heard on Countdown last night that Corsi quoted mostly himself in the footnotes..... from his book on Kerry.

I find myself kind of unnerved by this but it is obvious that Obama has it in hand with his 40 page rebuttal. What I find upsetting are the idiots that come on Cspan and talk trash and total misconceptions .... don't really want to repeat but this is only to say that we still have a lot of work to do!

It's listed as #1 on the NYT Best Seller list BUT with a dagger next to it.

A dagger (†) indicates that some bookstores report receiving bulk orders. That tells readers that it's not a "popular book" being purchased by individuals.

An article posted on the New York Times points out a few of the errors in the book, along with this note:

"The publisher is Threshold Editions, a division of Simon & Schuster whose chief editor is Mary Matalin, the former Republican operative turned publisher-pundit. And it is a significant, early success for Ms. Matalin’s three-year-old imprint, which is also planning to publish the memoirs of Karl Rove, President Bush’s longtime political guru. Threshold says it has undertaken an extensive printing effort for anticipated demand, with 475,000 copies of “The Obama Nation” produced so far." Link

With all that's being said about the credibility of this so-called author, and the fact that his sources for this book are either bloggers, or stuff he's written in his other books, the only ones who will buy this are those who are buying in bulk. This will fall off the Best Seller's list, but in the mean time, it should be rebilled as FICTION.

When you have a chance to post a 'review' of the book on an on-line source, either post a credible review or give the book a one-star rating. Discredit; link Corsi to Swiftboating (the idiot even proclaims this on his cover, which is why I knew without looking further that the book would be a Repug attack bomb with ZERO credibility).

wow...i was pretty much loving the fact that we did not have the massive trollage for the last couple of weeks. perhaps the mainstream manufactured media is planning to do another "story" about our blog posts.

Just saw the president of Georgia using languages similar to Hillary "shame of you mr Gorbachev", and he sounded as if he was a spokesperson from the McBush McWar camp.

Dunno..but it all feels so weird to me. Kinda creepy too!

Moments ago I posted a story indicating that Tim Kaine faired poorly in testing (now Keynote speaker Mark Warner did well) because of lack of substantial accomplishments and too much kissing up to Obama.

Yes...Obama wants to keep people guessing...that is why he has all of the top 6 or 7 candidates for VP set to speak at the convention anyways..

Biden, Bayh, Sebelius, Schweitzer, Kaine, Hillary, Hagel, etc....

That way he has an excuse to be in communication with them anyways, he has an excuse to coordinate a speech with them anyways, he has an excuse to talk to them, send aides to meet with them, and evaluate them in deciding....it is brilliant in this way...

There is no VP choice that isn't slotted to speak that would make it clear they were the VP...

It also takes the pressure off of the VP choice people not knowing.....and gets the press off of it...

There won't be a final decision until he makes a final decision...even in his inner circle..they know his overall preferences..what strengths/concerns he sees in each...but I don't think he is going to give them a final decision until a day or two before it is announced...

I think it is an awkward decision for Obama as I know he has a great connection to Kaine, Kaine has been very loyal to him, a good friend, risked his political career in supporting him as his earliest supporter....Kaine is the most honorable guy you could imagine...it would be tough to not pick him if you were Obama even if someone else would help the ticket and be a better VP, be better at suceeding you...

Yes, but only one of the Wed. Speakers are expected to be VP. Bayh and Biden are confirmed for Wed. Hagel won't be at the convention so he is eliminated.

Kaine is now slated for Tuesday and he was said to be disappointed (posted elsewhere) so he is now eliminated.

Hillary was never vetted of course so she is out.

I haven't seen the story that Wes Clark won't be there? That is surprising.

Chris Dodd could be a sleeper. He meets every requirement.

Well, I think that's how you keep people guessing because they BOTH are scheduled. If one or the other were not speaking, you would know right off, I think. I don't think it's Kaine because he's speaking on Tuesday.

I don't think it's going to be Biden, Bayh, or Kaine- they all have confirmed speaking roles.

You'd think Barack would want to have a little mystery in the veepstakes.......keep it exciting.

That being said- Kaine was my preference.

Only those with Wed. Speaking roles will be VP.
Kaine and Sebelius were eliminated.

Someone posted that the campaign said it won't be a surprise.

In light of the need for FP experience (even the media is acknowledging this) only a Senator and a few others qualify. Biden is the only possible Senator who wouldn't lose a Senate seat.
Also Bayh has been doing poorly in all polling I've seen.

They then followed that up by saying it could come from "left field" They're all still in.

I would actually rule out Biden & Bayh now.

Bayh loses a senate seat, and Obama won't choose Biden after saying that McCain's tenure in Washington makes him part of the problem.
I mean how bad will it look if Obama says we need new people in Washington and attacks McCain's tenure in the senate and then picks someone who has served even longer than McCain? Not very good, it destroys the concept of "change you can believe in."

I would say it will be Kaine or Sebelius, maybe even Schweitzer.

Bayh & Biden speaking Wednesday night makes it easier for Kaine, Sebelius, & Schweitzer to speak.

(CNN) — The two senators widely believed to be at the top of Barack Obama's shortlist for VP have been given prime-time speaking slots at the Democratic convention Wednesday night — the very same night the vice presidential candidate is slated to speak.

According to the Democratic National Convention Committee, both Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Delaware Sen. Joe Biden will deliver speeches on national security during the marquee night — the same evening former President Bill Clinton is also scheduled to speak.

You're correct; You do not have to purchase the book from the site you're doing the review on. On Amazon, you will need to have a username/password. But if you've ever purchased anything from Amazon, you already have that.

Also, some of the online bookstores (and Amazon is one of them) also have Discussion Forums for their books that you can either join in on, or start up one of your own.

I've done a few book reviews for friends of mine without having purchased the book. After all, just because you write a book review on Amazon doesn't mean that you purchased it from them.

In addition to writing book reviews, I'm going to pre-order a copy of Obama's new book. I think it will sell out before it's even released.

I am hoping Obama or his VP will vacation in Alaska..I here Alaska is amazing in the summer time...it would be nice if one of them visit the state.....

I think with the push to get Ted Stevens out Democratic turnout will be very high as they will be mobilized to remove him...I also think we will get a boost in Fairbanks as their Republican Mayor endorses Obama.....

I still feel the only way we can win is with high turnout and high registrations...good work with the registrations.....

What is it like voting in Alaska...is it so rural that you drive very far to your voting locaiton..

Kevin Bayh and Biden are slated to speak on Wed. Now I think Obama is pulling our strings. Nah but it has gotten really interesting. Unless he announced their speaking date to throw us off it may not be either one. Now I am left thinking

Reed & Webb both said they told Barack they didn't want to be on the ticket weeks ago & they told him this already. They both feel they will be better helping Barack as U.S. senators.

does anyone have a timed out agenda for Wednesday and tried to slot in the already announced speakers to see if there is any time left for a vp to speak. Seems like everyone and their brother is speaking Wednesday!

I almost feel like we're playing 'to tell the truth - vp style'....

maybe, at the end, all the speakers will be sitting in a row, and Bill will ask: Okay, will the real VP choice please stand up....

my thoughts on the contenders so far is that i like them all, but I'm not a fan of the way Biden can ramble on at times (I wasn't impressed during the primaries) and Bayh seems too boring and uninspiring. I do think we need someone who can complement Obama - so foreign policy experience seems like a must-have, particularly with this Russia/Georgia thing going on (strange timing, huh?)... Clark was up on my list, and might get back on, because I can't think of any reason he shouldn't be on other than his remark about McCain. Gore is my ultimate, dream choice for obvious reasons. Clinton would be okay for me because I think she's a fighter and wow wouldn't it be great to get a woman in that office! But she's got a lot of negatives still hanging around. If she had waged a non-negative war against Obama in the primary, I think she'd be on the ticket immediately. But, she wouldn't help to much with foreign policy matters.

As to the timing the txt msg, it should be soon since the campaign has released so much info about Wednesday and has now set up the mobile stuff, so they are all set to rock and roll. The campaign may be putting up Bayh and Biden now to get a feel for how the media/voters are going to react to these two... and then make a final decision in a day or two.

Isn't this fun?!

Kevin I agree with your assessment. The only thing about Clark though is that he said he will be in Italy during the convention thus another thing that makes you go hmmmm.

Given the fact that a lot is at stake and the Republicans are doing all they can to disrupt the DNC, I can understand why they may be taking so long or taking a lot of precautions to ensure everything goes well especially at a time the millions of people will be watching him speak.

here in colorado, the local denver news said that notifications would be made by volunteers through tomorrow evening at 9 p.m. mountain time. i already got notice from obama campaign that i got wait listed. i also signed up with the Colorado Dems, but not sure about when they will notify.

I stopped by my local Borders on the way home today to get a book for my beach trip this weekend. Piled up in the entrance were all the latest Obama lie books. At first, I just kind of fumed silently. Then I discreetly replaced a bunch of them with the Audacity of Hope. Then I decided to go up to Customer Service and told them I was going to another store from now on because they had a whole lot of hate piled up on their doorstep, and I couldn't shop at a store that was advocating that kind of publication.

Anyway, a pretty feeble gesture on my part. But, what can we do? Should everyone stop by their local bookstore and do a similar feeble gesture? I really feel we should be holding these stores accountable in some way, but can't think of a good idea.

Anyone who buys the book may not be seriously considering voting for Senator Obama anyway. If they are seriously considering voting for him, they will do their homework to find out the truth. This book is going to require more energy and money from the campaign to ensure that the damage is contained as much as possible.

Anybody that seriously takes a look at this country and what the Bush/Cheney team has done to this country over the last seven or eight years should take the time to ensure that they cast a vote for someone who will takes us in a different and better direction.

What do you all think about the number of Republicans who are not attending the convention?

Had a thought regarding bookstores...for anyone so inclined, what about printing up copies of Obama's 41-page refutation of the book and "conveniently" leaving them right next to the copies of the books? (Or would they just immediately get removed by the bookstore staff?)

On August 5th, North Carolina Veterans for Obama worked with the campaign to host two events with Major General Geoffrey Lambert, United States Army (Ret.). The events, located in Fayetteville's VFW Post 6018 and Charlotte's Campaign for Change office, each had about one hundred attendees, most of them veterans who had served on tours ranging from Korea to Iraq.

Lambert is the former Commanding General of the Army Special Forces Command (Airborne) and the Army's school for Green Berets at Fort Bragg. A lifelong Republican, he supports Senator Obama because he thinks Obama is a better leader than McCain, with a better leadership style.

Hi all - I just posted my analysis at Daily Kos of 1 week's of coverage of the election as shown on CNN, Fox and MSNBC, and have made images that show what words they talked about most. Not surprisingly, I found that MSNBC was the least biased, and Fox was the most biased, but you should see it for yourself

During a question-and-answer session with Walter Isaacson today, Sen. John McCain said Guantanamo Bay is “one of the nicest places in the world to live in.” Later in the interview, McCain was asked about the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Boumediene v. Bush declaring that Gitmo detainees have a right to challenge their detention in civilian court. McCain had previously derided that decision as “one of the worst decisions in the history of this country,” but today stepped back from that comment:

It is absolutely absurd an incomprehensible that General Wes Clark does not have the prime-time speaking spot, or any speaking slot at all, Wednesday night at the Convention (theme: "securing America").

Clark has unselfishly done more than any other Democratic Party leader to help us gain seats in the House in Senate both in 04' and 08'. He has credibility on national security issues surpassing all others. That he is being snubbed in this way by the Obama campaign is shocking.

There will be a lot of people who may have desire to speak but will not be able to speak. Charlie Rangel will not speak along some others as well. Besides the speaking slots should be for those individuals who have been loyal to Senator Obama and for those will go out to intensely support him after the convention.

Senator Obama has compromised enough and it is his time to lead and give the people who have supported him from the very start.

If Clark and Rangel alone with others wanted to speak, they should have backed a winner. If I sound a little short, I am tired of the complaints about the Clinton supporters who are not getting something from a candidate that they opposed and try to destroy. People like Rendell and Carville should not expect a big role in Senator Obama's bid for POTUS.

How about the Clinton supporters like PUMA should Senator Obama the respect that he has earned outright by putting together a great campaign that played by the rules.

Clark announced he will be in Italy the week of the convention.

Also, Clark has some serious credibility issues "within the military."

His former boss and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Hugh Shelton, announced that he would not vote for Clark during Clark's run for president in 2004.

Clark was relieved of his command post as SACEUR for what was characterized as "credibility issues."

Look, it is rare for the "Senior" military leadership to turn against one of its own, but they sure don't support Clark and that gives me pause....BIG TIME.

I didn't read your posts but judging from your last sentence, I can assume your comments were rude. You were maintaining a polite, if disagreeable for an Obama blog site post until your last sentence.

If your posts read like your last sentence did, that's probably why they were removed. And Hillary Clinton does not want McCain to win so please do not put her in the same sentence with McCain.

The Obama campaign shoud be focussed like a laser on the Bush/Cheney lies that got this country into Iraq and the Ron Suskind book that exposes them.

Or the campaign advisor/lobbyist for Georgia who is joined to McCain. He knew that Georgia was to start aerial bombing South Ossetia. When Bush was at the Olympics. And Obama was in the air, en route to Hawaii.

I'm waiting for the book that shows the entire invasion was staged to make McCain look presidential, right down to the Rocky theme song and the Wikipedia speech.

But the Obama campaign is letting the McCain campaign set the agenda.

Yes, this is the real story. But McCain over did himself and ended up scaring voters with his drums of war. The Corsi fuss is a distraction. Georgia-gate is the real story.
