No one doubts that the federal government will need to invest hundreds of billions of dollars next year to help jump start the economy. Some ask who will purchase the bonds to pay for this effort. Foreign government will because they know the American economy will bounce back stronger than ever. But, how about initiating a new “Buy Bonds” program to encourage Americans to invest in themselves. Clearly, this won’t be enough, but at least it would be another opportunity for us all to be a part of the solution.
