I'm allowing myself to now think further about the idea of an Obama presidency. It's what I want although I'm telling myself to be patient and careful and follow him closely, so that I can develop a stronger opinion.
In the days and weeks thus far, I've not been turned away and I, as many others, feel much more driven to become involved in this political process, that previously before. I'm thinking that I should use this weblog to discuss my ideas, concerns, and propositions that can make this campaign stronger.
First of all, Obama's response to PM Howard was perfect and gracious. Obama should not have to respond to all the critics, especially when they shoot vile, but to watch a candidate respond in a manner that's both aggressive, sly, and confident is refreshing. Additionally, I don't see Obama pandering to any demographic other than the millions of Americans who are fed up and that's exactly what we needed. This is what we have all been asking for. Speak to the American people like the intelligent, unified, and yet complicated people we are. His team's response to Fox News maddrassa issue was engaging as well.
A message to the Obama team: If there are any doubts about whether or not Obama should shy away from these remarks and confrontation, get rid of them. We are not looking for an arrogant man. We are not looking for another four years of trash we deal with now. We are just looking for someone to define the validity in our feelings and thinking.
Some of us fear we are no longer represented in this nation. Continue standing up for yourself Barack and hopefully your confidence in this new direction, will further influence our nation.
