Hello, urgent request to all members of Young Democrats of Washington State :At the WA state Young Democrats annual convention back in April, the endorsements meeting was merely one vote short of deciding to have the young dems of Washington do a presidential endorsement. Obama support was strong, but some felt it was "too early", which misses the point of endorsing at all. If you wait until the winner of the race is certain and then endorse at that point, you have no impact and no voice. An endorsement is a way that Young Dems can influence others ...before... they have made up their mind.On October 14, Sunday, at noon, the Young Democrats of Washington State are meeting in Tacoma at the Pacific Lutheran University campus, with an endorsements meeting mostly concentrating on ballot issues. There will be a short period where presidential endorsements will be reviewed again.Please determine if you are eligible as a member of your YD chapter to come and vote at this meeting, and put Obama on the youth vote map. Please attend this meeting and vote to endorse Obama.
