We have a huge problem in this country and it begins with the press and the so-called politically correct pretenders who act holier than thou instead of standing up for the truth and obvious. The recent trial in the press and public opinion of the courageous Ms. Samantha Powers who voiced what many of us actually think of Hillary Clinton and her manner of approach to politics ("she stoops to conquer") is rather unfortunate. Who, in their right mind, would not conclude that Hillary Clinton went bunkers in the last days preceeding the Texas/Ohio primaries just because she was staring defeat in the face. It was very unlady-like, the despicable attitude put up by this desperate "lady" just because she wanted to win by all means.Where was the outrage when Hillary belittled Barack by suggesting that John McCain (McBush) is more prepared to be commander-in-chief than Barack Obama, a fellow democrat? Where was the outrade when that mannerless Wolfson compared Barack to Ken Satrr? Where was the outrage when Hillary ran a that fear-mongering ad (that stupid 3am ad) against a fellow democrat suggesting that he is not ready to be president? The list goes on and on.Infact, if there is anything worse than a monster, that is what Hillary's approach to the issues of politics is. She can even be called the "meat cleaver lady" the way she came after Barack during this period. Politics is about "job interview", trying to convince voters that you are prepared to sacrifice your time and freedom to SERVE the people. But when a candidate makes it a matter of life and death for her to "win" then, my suspicion is that there is more behind this behavior. There is EGO and NAKED AMBITION written all over the face of the Clintons (now, Chelsea Clinton is campaigning for her mom while playing dumb to the press). My heart goes out to Samantha Powers for having the courage to voice out what a lot of cowards and pretenders who are now standing over her in judgement has failed to do. I wished she did not resign. Mark Penn did not resign when he made those derogatory remarks in New Hampshire about Barack and teenage "drug use" during an interview on MSNBC Hardball with Chris Mathews. One would have loved to delve into Mark Penn's youth to find out that this guy is actually a hypocrite. Do I need to remind you also of a former president who "smoked" but lied through his teeth that he did not "inhale" as if there is a brick wall between his mouth and throat. Such is the quality of individuals the Democrats want to send back to the White House.Lastly, it looks like the Democratic party is "cursed out" this time around for the level of confusion they are exhibiting in this nomination process. It is like they will see the promised land from the hill tops but will not get there if they fail to rap up this ugly nomination process. I have only one good reason as an independent to be leaning democratic for now-BARACK OBAMA!!!. If this hope is ever stollen from the people, my default candidate will become the lesser of two evils-John McCain.

I agree with you whole heartedly. I believe Obama should come out and decline Powers resignation. He should defend that this was a misstated opinion that he does not support, but that was swiftly apoligized for. He should highlight Powers accomplishments and stand up to the cry wolf tactics of the Clinton campaign. I believe most Americans would respect him doing this, rather than giving into political expediency.
