A Dream [Not] Deferred
What happens to a dream not deferred?
Does it to bring forth life like a seed in the sun
Ripens to maturity and then not run
Does it challenge us with each and every heartbeat?
To aim for more than just another repeat.
Does it possess the audacity to have some hope?
Amid the naysayers who are all say, Nope!
Does it create a vision of what life could be?
Elephants and donkeys walking in unity
So what does happen to a dream not deferred?
It dresses itself up in man
And inspire Americans to say “Yes We Can!”
