MY LETTER TO MSM TODAY:
I watched you with enthusiasm during the primaries and the election because I so desperately was eager to get any news about my candidate (Barack Obama). Since then I learned not to rely on you for my news because on more than one occasion you were wrong.
This year we are watching newspaper after newspaper fold and you all still just don't get it. You really do not have the pulse of the public. We really like our President and want him to succeed. We are vested in his success. I will continue to say this to you until you eventually concede that this is a fact.
On Sunday afternoon our President went into what was billed by you in the press as the "lions den" and again delivered one of his more powerful messages to date.
He spoke of finding common ground and bridging the divide. Spoke of hope for the generation of youth that sat before him waiting their turn to lead our nation in whatever career path that they choose.
And what do we hear today from you...More of the manufactured controversy about Nancy Peloski. Are you serious????
Fewer and fewer of us are turning to you for our news. We are better investigator reporters than a lot of you professional journalist. Yea sometimes we get in wrong but more times than not we are right. You interview "experts" on subjects and sit there and let them make statements that are blatant lies. You do no homework on your guest. You frustrate us because we know the answers and you don't. I see a story on a blog two or three days before it makes the MSM. By the time you report on it its old news to us. You are so busy trying to make news that somewhere along the line you forgot to report the news. More and more of us are going to PBS to get our facts.
I really don't want you all to fail but if you don't wake up and smell the coffee soon you will be standing in the unemployment line right along side your newspaper brother and sisters.
