We want to let you know about some upcoming events that you should check out:
TOMORROW, Thursday, April 24 • ECUA Board Meeting on CURBSIDE RECYCLING
9250 Hamman Avenue in Ellyson Park, 3PM (map)
The ECUA Board will vote on a curbside recycling program for Escambia County! However, several board members are not wild about it, so if you care about recycling in Escambia County we NEED you to come out and let them know how much you care!!!

Saturday, April 26 • Goombay FestivalBelmont-Devilliers, 10AM-11PM (map)
The Goombay Festival is a great festival that attracted more than 10,000 people last year. Come out and listen to Carribean music, eat good food, and enjoy the many activities. Democratic candidate for Sheriff Sam Lucas will be there collecting petitions, and he needs help! Remember, this is what our group exists to do - to further Democratic interests and help Democratic candidates. If you can volunteer any time to help gather petitions at the festival, please call Greg Fink at 850.292.5496.
Friday, May 2 • Claudia Brown-Curry Kick-Off Event2400 West Strong Street, 6-9PM (map)Claudia Brown-Curry, Democratic candidate for Escambia Superintendent of Schools, is hosting a campaign kick-off event. The event is a fundraiser and a $20 donation is requested of those who attend. The Escambia Superintendent of Schools is one of the best Democratic pickup opportunities locally, and Claudia Brown-Curry is a great candidate.
Saturday, May 3 • Multicultural Festival hosted by the Escambia County DECMagee Field (on MLK Jr. Dr. between Scott and Bobe Streets), 11AM-5PM (map)The Escambia DEC will host a Multicultural Festival featuring food from over 25 different vendors. $10 donation for lots of yummy food.

Saturday, May 10 • Fish Fry featuring Claudia Brown-CurryRoadside Park on Highway 29 in Century, 11AM-2PMThe aforementioned Claudia Brown-Curry will host a community fish fry in Century. Come out and support her candidacy, and enjoy the FREE food and entertainment.
