Dedicated ~
To MY Strong Black man at home and The Strong Black Man running my country
I was proud to be Black before but now I feel an even stronger sense of self and presence.
I thought I would share my feelings about what a black man means to me. Not only black, but a strong man makes his presence known and gives you one of the best feelings in the world. I am surrounded and influenced my many black men in my life and it means the world to me and I feel so blessed to have guidance and love that is indescribable. And to know that Barack Obama is our first African American President gives me hope that our race and culture will finally realize that we make a difference in society and we do have a presence. We know that anything is possible and there is no limit to our ability. We are being represented by a man who demonstrates strength, intelligence, grace and confidence that is out of this world. He demands respect through his words and his passion and I am so grateful to be able to experience this in my lifetime. Something I can tell my kids about and hopefully my grandchildren. I pray that us black people wake up and not only respect him as President but gain respect for one another and change the way we are viewed by society. I pray that we make the most of all of our abilities and talents. I pray all idle goals we have are stimulated and we continue to push forward with them. I pray we rise to the top as a whole and make positive dramatic history. I pray for Obama and I pray for all of you.
Love,
Diondria
