Tell Your Congressional Representatives to Remove Their Names from the Naval Blockade

Greetings Everyone,
In addition to he FISA issue, we are facing another urgent matter, maybe the FISA issue was meant to distract us while this got through.

There are already over 200 House of Representative signatures on the resolution (I think that it is 362) to place a naval blockade around Iran.

Please call, write, e-mail your representatives to have them remove their signatures if they have already signed or to make sure that they don't sign if they haven't already.

We really cannot let this administration engage in what could be interpreted as an act of war in its last moments (months) in office. We can't afford this unnecessary posturing at this time.

Please call/write/e-mail your Congress person and any pertinent Congressional Committee that they may sit on to stop this resolution regarding Iran or any other foreign entity at this time. We can't afford it and it is false posturing. The American people don't want this.

Please urge Senator Obama not to engage in this action.

I think that you just have to create your post on your own dashboard blog and include the FISA group when you select where you want your blog post/comment to be uploaded.

As important as it is to send a message to Congress, it's too late now. We can only hold them responsible for their vote, and clean house on election day. Congress is less popular than Bush for a reason - they keep passing laws that Americans strongly disagree with. Even the Democrats are scrambling over each other to prove how "patriotic" or "anti-terror" they are by supporting bills they would never have supported years ago. I call this Hillary-syndrome where Democrats foaming at the mouth rushed to scream for war in Iraq.

You sort of do know me personally, we've just never met.

The resolution may pass, it may not. The point is that we have to engage and act on the issues that matter to us.

We have to make the effort, or at least I know that I have to make the effort and do all that I feel that I can in any given circumstance.
