Quite an event in New Haven, Connecticut as everyone tried to get people to Register to Vote. There must have been 20 volunteers, and did we work the crowds. I was with a lovely young lady by the name of Meg, who had just graduated from Yale in environmental studies. We walked Chapel Street which is the main street adjacent to Yale University. Also spent time at the New Haven Jazz Festival on the Green. It's a large area, and there must have been 1,000 people there from 4-6 p.m. After two hours of talking and walking Meg and I were able to register 14 voters. I thought it was amazing that I registered two adults ages 53 and 59 that had never voted!! Looking for more events in the area to register voters...will keep everyone posted.
