In France there is a presidential election voting system of two big votes - round one and round two. In the first round there are 5 or 6 big candidates. All but two are eliminated and there is a second vote to choose the president. With this system, voters don't have to feel guilty because they can choose a candidate out of a large selection. They can choose the candidate of their specific party or interests. If that person doesn't win, THEN they vote for the mainstream candidate they agree with more. Unfortunatally the US doesn't have that system and independent voters here almost always feel guilty. They either feel guilty for throwing their vote away on a candidate they love but know won't win, or they feel guilty for voting for a candidate with a better chance of winning but doesn't share the voter's strong opinions. ATTENTION INDEPENDENT VOTERS: if you are afraid of the damage another republican president can do to the world and our country, please vote democrat. When you wake up after election night and the burden of shame and anger that rested on your shoulders for nearly 8 years is gone...I assure you guilt will not be what you feel.

To independents and republicans for Obama, please make sure you can vote for Obama in the primary. In my state, you must be a registered democrat to vote in the democratic primary. Would you consider changing parties (even if only temporarily) so you can help Obama become our democratic nominee? Please give this some serious thought. Thanks.
