FREE City-Wide DTV Conversion Clinic, Saturday, April 4 at the DC Armor Football Gamewww.DTVoutreach.org
The Urban Progressive Foundation in partnership with the MDCD Broadcasters and the DC Armor arena football team will be hosting a free city-wide DTV Conversion Clinic at the DC Armory, at the inaugural DC Armor football game. This is the largest outreach effort and includes not only awareness, but also coupon registration and redemption, as well as DTV converter box installations.
This city-wide initiative was launched to help are residents stay connected after the June 12th national transition to Digital television. Presently approximately 30% of the area's citizens will be affected - most of them elderly and underserved. But the national transition to Digital TV will affect everyone, so this One-Stop Shop clinic is for all DC area residents.
If you want to know more about the National Transition to Digital TV, how it will impact you, and how to be ready, come to the DC Armor "fan zone" on Saturday, April 4, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
The free DTV Clinic will be part of the pre-game activities marking the inaugural home game of the DC Armor, the new professional arena football team.
From 5:00 - 7:00 pm, the DC Armor "fan zone" will also feature a DJ, bar-b-que, an appearance by the DC Armor mascot, and games and activities for children including a bounce house. Everyone is encouraged to come out, have some fun, cheer on the Armor, and get prepared for the DTV Transition.
This DTV Outreach will assist local residents who:

need to register for free federal $40.00 DTV converter box coupons
had a $40.00 coupon that expired
need to redeem coupons
have questions or need assistance with converter box installation
want an on-site demonstration or technical assistance
