2006 Midterm Elections + 2008 Democratic Primaries = Mc Bush 2008 Campaign
First: The Bad News
There will be no break for grassroots activists. No vacation. No time outs for the Obama Campaign. That was all too evident as we saw Barack Obama return to the United States after a very long and successful overseas fact finding mission , only to hit the ground running upon arrival back home launching Economic Town Halls in the heart of America.
Now: The Good News
Both campaign tactics and strategies currently being employed my the Mc Cain/ Bush Campaign have already been tested against Barack Obama and have failed . In 2006 , we saw the scare tactics along with the belittling of all things Liberal and that failed miserably. In the 2008 Democratic Primaries , we saw the Dirty Tricks and the Slander and that too has failed.
So What Do We Do ?
That's easy. Seeing that we have the winning strategies, we do what we did during the 2006 Mid Term Elections and in the 2008 Democratic Primaries. During the 2006 Mid term Elections , we highlighted how George Bushs policies had failed America and made us less safe. We rallied Americans to express our Anti-War sentiment that had been ignored for years , while at the same time , offered them a very positive view of the Democratic Party. Remember this in response to the Republican Culture of Corruption?
We also have to do what we did in the 2008 Democratic Primaries. It is similar to our strategy during the 2006 Mid Terms , but it was more agressive . The attacks against our candidate were swiftly and rabidly responded to. We must do the same thing now as it pertains to the Bush/Mc Cain Campaign. We must expose our opposition when he gaffes and debunk his false strengths.
John Mc Cain is percieved to be strong on Foreign Policy, but we all know better. Even those of us who haven't been paying attention , know by now that John Mc Cain doesn't know what the heck he's talking about when it comes to keeping America safe. But , we must continue to hammer away at the dangerous prception that he does.
The challenge for some of us , not I of course, seems to be the reluctance to openly point out that being a POW does not give one the knowledge and experience on how to win a war. If anything, it teaches our Military that disobeying orders during war time and going at it alone , can get you in trouble no matter who you are.
Anyway , we have to respond to the Bush/Mc Cain Campaign as though every one of their ads is a "3 AM" ad and every one of the speeches he gives , is a "Give me a break" speeches. We have been through this before. We already passed the test and now we're in the Finals. We had great "teachers"so we should know how to win in November.
Then, we can go on vacation.
