McCain's "Respectful Campaign": Attack, Smear, Go Negative
SNIP:
"So as I'm sure you are all aware - John McCain has resorted to going negative in his ad campaign (I guess in his overall campaign as well). He has more recently contended that he is only joking..."can't you all just take a joke..." Sure John, whatever makes you sleep well at night. The point is, however, that the American people deserve better - much better, especially considering the numerous issues facing our great country. But - NO - we're relegated to a discussion of Britney, Paris, and Obama. What I find particularly interesting is how John McCain has employed the very same people who "swift-boated" his friend and colleague Sen. John Kerry back in 2004 and how at the time McCain called these attacks "dishonest and dishonorable" even though he was campaigning for Bush. That, I thought, was the proper position to take (even though I cant understand why he would support Bush.)In fact, his new chief strategist Tim Griffin is a protege of Karl Rove, the very man responsible for McCain getting smeared in South Carolina in 2000: including the infamous push-polling calls where insinuations were lodged at McCain that he had an illegitimate black child. Absurd and beyond reproach! But now McCain treads down this low road...EVERY ad and accusation thrown at Sen. Obama has been summarily dismissed: either as an outright lie or a distortion. And to associate him with Britney, Paris, Ahmadinejad, Fidel, Hamas, and then mock him by comparing him to Moses...Really???About oil specifically and whether Obama is responsible for your high gas prices: click here (I've already produced a video on the subject.)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag0ZCa...These tactics are far below you Sen. McCain, and while I highly doubt you intend on changing any of your tactics - you really should. "
