Repealing the USAPATRIOT Act

I will be voting for Barack Obama, not just because he is by far the better choice over McCain, but because I have the audacity to hope for a better country and a healthier world for all!
Even with this said, I have an open request, make that a direct demand as a citizen of this great nation:
Upon entering the presidency, Thomas Jefferson in 1802 repealed the Aliens and Seditions Act on day one that was the USAPATRIOT Act of its day because John Adams has very thin skin who could not handle disent, the truth being tossed his direction, or being told he was wrong.
As a citizen I of course reserve the right to whether I will give money to the Obama campaign, which I have given ($60 to this point) and until I hear a pledge by Barack Obama that he will repeal the USAPATRIOT Act in public and on the record, I will refrain from sending anymore money.
I want to give more and will happily do so, as I can afford it, but I want a total assurance that this un-American and very un-democratic law will be tossed into the dust bin of history as an example of right-wing lunacy gone amuck.
I can not speak for any other Americans of course, but I get the feeling that this is on the minds of many.
Please, Senator Obama, please rid us of this vile law upon the first days of your taking your oath of office.
