Finally got our Group Page

We are so glad to have this group page and share our project with all Obama supporters. We hope you chose to go to our fundraising page and support Obama's campaign with a fun, new and creative drawing. Donate (or follow the directions on the fr page) to our group page and you could be entered in a drawing for this great quilt: TURNING AMERICA BLUE 2008. It's just fabulous! It might go to the convention too. Each square is a star, it is different and made by Obama supporters from around the country. The center square is a fiber arts portrait of Barack. We think of all the ways to donate, ours is one of the most rewarding! Thanks for visiting our page.

lol sorry i couldn't resist....anyway, woohoooooo!!!! good for you!!

now...can someone post what you'd like said, about what our 'contest rules' are about this...errr raffle that isn't a raffle? i haven't been able to keep up with such a prolific group of emailers, and would like to help keep this posted whenever i can, but need to know the specifics...plus i think we probably all ought to use the same clear rules.

Well, Angela tried to do that on our fr page. And, when we get help from HQ, we can simplify them.

Here goes:
You can always donate and just donate but you won't be in the 'drawing' (not raffle!)

In order to be in the drawing you must either:
1. donate, THEN join our group and send an email
or
2. join our group, send an email that contains a story of 'what the quilt means to me' (this is for folks who want a chance to win but don't feel that can donate anything)

It is sort of a two-step thing, but, as of now, it's the only way we have of tracking donors until HQ makes our donation page tracking just like individual fr tracking. Our group admin wasn't getting feedback because group pages don't have a central tracking...THEY don't have drawings.

Cindy, I am reading the rules... yesterday Angela did say if they donated from a link sent by e-mail or from the thread she would get a name and so that person would go into the drawing. Only if they donated from a invite from the fr page would she need their name. That is what I got out of her e-mail and when I responded with the above she said I got it??????

you know...if she said she got it...then it's all good. Maybe my rules are overcautious...but, that's what we currently have on the fr page...she'll change it Monday as she can! Thanks.

Got it, it's always good to be overcautious and sometimes I write before I think it through:) I am so very excited about this project. I guess my friend Jane is too she just called to say she bought more fabric in Iowa yesterday, just in case we need more squares :)

Hi Cindy, I am contacting you this way and hope you see it :) Perhaps hotmail accounts do not like sending the fliers out? Anyway I had trouble yesterday doing it and today my account has been closed. Another thought is the troll that has been sending the termination notices, todays was rather poorly written so it is not HQ. I am working to get my account back or may change providers.

The FR page is going up! This is such a good bargain, donating and a chance to win a wonderful quilt.

do you think some people w/the quilt shops complained? Certainly we can send businesses emails!? Hope this is straightened out...and it'll be interesting to get an explanation. We hope to see you soon w/our emails. Cindy
