Withhold Contributions Until Obama Comes Through on His Promise

I would expect that very many gay or gay-friendly people contributed many millions of dollars to Obama's presidential campaign.

Those of us who did are currently being asked to continue to support the President's work through "Organizing for America" (and perhaps other groups).

Even Nancy Pelosi has stated that it is "not the right time" to address same-sex marriage at the federal level.

I suggest that we all respond to such solicitations for financial support with something along these lines:

If you want my continued financial support, you're going to have to honor your campaign promise to grant all 1,138 federal rights of marriage to same-sex couples.

Not a penny until that's done. You don't get to choose "when the time is right" for equal protection under the law.
