Maybe Obama will win another Nobel Prize based on Civil Rights too.
Gay and Civil Rights; The State shouldn't discriminate and as for religion, you're free to choose your religion.

Spock was a half-bread. Would his parents been able to marry under current U.S. laws? It's not the bible man and women definition, it's women or man and alien from outer space definition.
It's a funny sci-fi question. The laws are not appropriate at this time and don't seem to be appropriate in future sci-fi scenarios that we have watched and seen several times in movies and TV either.
Some Republican wacko's will start using bestiality and incest as arguments, in fact I think some have already done this. It's an attempt to use ...you guessed it, fear and ignorance or just an example of how twisted their minds are.
Just a reminder for Republicans who didn't know this, there are laws against bestiality and incest, and it's far from the issue, but the attempt to use this kind of argument shows a new low and I hope they lose even more votes for trying to use it or trying to smear the gay community this way.
I remember a few years ago, I think it was Howard Stern who was calling a racist person and asking him questions, this racist person’s argument for not allowing colored people in the Olympics or competing with them, because Howard was pointing out that colored people were dominating certain disciplines or sports, was that he was putting colored people into the same category as a horse, you wouldn’t allow a horse or compete with a horse now would you?
This racist person reminds me of this wacko argument that a Republican recently made in Congress or Senate.

Here are more sci-fi scenarios; what if the human race changes and mutates/evolves in outer space and to different planets, what if someone gets married to a living thinking machine, this happened in Star Trek the Motion Picture see V'ger, what if a human marries a gender less God like energy being, etc.
These are fun sci-fi sceneries.
The reality in the U.S. is not fun and it's called discrimination.
Your religion, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, atheist, etc. should not interfere with your rights.

The gay community is everywhere in the U.S. community and they most certainly do care very deeply about the United States. So why is this injustice or˙ hatred allowed to be committed against them?
If a man or women cannot have children, why are they allowed to get married?
The way I see it the State is a Civil Union and the marriage is part of your religion but I don't have all the facts.
As for your interpretation or selective use of the word marriage, I disagree since it's used in many different ways, married to your work, married to your in laws, married to the mob, etc so there is no special use or reservation for this word.
Perhaps there's a special reservation for it in your religion?

Hell, let them marry cats and dogs if they want. We've got more important things going on.
I'm not sure if you read the article or not but you sound just like the wacko argument the Congress or Senate representative used.
I also consider it an attempt to smear the gay community.
The comparison is not meaningless, but I do understand what you mean, it's a comparison or comments used to smear the gay community.
It would be the equivalent of the racist saying "we might as well let horses compete in the Olympics", it's not meaningless, it's degrading and a smear attempt.
I'm not convinced that people putting colored people or gay people in the same category of animals, horses, cats, and dogs has anything to do with their mental capacity.
Don't worry Rick, I saw someone from Congress or the Senate do this not very long ago.
So what would you call it when someone puts black people and gays in the same category as a horse or dog to prevent them from participating in the Olympics or legal marriage?
The way they try to twist it or justify it is by comparing a gay relationship to bestiality, the link with the racist comparing colored people to a horse, and pedophilia. And this is also a smear or part of degrading themes aimed at the gay community.

Did you read my post or is it just that I'm using colored people instead of black people?
I think Abraham Lincoln was a Republican too but the slave traders were probably a good mix of Republicans and Democrats.
When it comes to racism and homophobia or anti-gay it's probably a good mix of Republicans and Democrats too.
The link between racism and anti-gay is discrimination.
The rest of the writing is to help you see it better.
So that I don't offend anyone or in case anyone would confuse me with Archie Bunker, I'll just refer to everyone as the "different shades of white, black, and colored people".
