I am heartbroken and disappointed by Mr. Obama's choice of Rev. Rick Warren to deliver the invocation. To chose someone who has been grossly opposed and insulting to a group of people who overwhelmingly supported Mr. Obama's bid for the White House is nothing less than a slap in the face. I don't feel as though Mr. Obama wants to be my president (or any liberal-minded democrat's), but wants more to prove to right-wingers that he will be their president too. I am all for listening to differing views, but to give such an historic voice to this blatant bigotry is WRONG.

Yes, but Rev Joseph Lowery is giving the Benediction as we strive to progress from a less perfect to a more perfect union after President Obama has taken the Oath of Office.

But that is almost like saying... it's OK to have Hitler speak as long as he is followed by Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Bad is bad... no matter what is done afterward.

This seems to be a calculated slap in the face from Obama. I was expecting much more thoughtfulness from him and his advisers.
