There are just 10 days left before polls close in Pennsylvania and we’re relying on every veteran and military family member who supports Barack Obama to not only vote, but to help make sure all our other supporters vote.
My name is Craig Mullaney and I’m helping to mobilize veterans and military family members in Western Pennsylvania. I grew up in a working-class blue collar Irish-Catholic family in Rhode Island and like many of you, I volunteered to serve my country as an infantry officer in the United States Army. My platoon fought along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border against al Qaeda and the Taliban. I returned to join the Old Guard at Arlington Cemetery and saw first-hand the pride and sacrifice of our fallen warriors and their families. I’d never voted or been involved in our political system, but in Barack Obama I saw a future Commander-in-Chief who could put our country and our military strategy on the right track. And so, I volunteered once more. Ten days after I left the Army, I joined this campaign.
In my interactions with Barack, I’ve found a leader with tremendous strength of character; a independent, pragmatic, and thoughtful intelligence; and steady judgment. I found a man of family values who even on the campaign trail calls his children every night before they go to bed. I found a man with deep spiritual strength and compassion who consistently thanks his staff, his drivers, his secret service agents, and the millions who’ve joined his campaign. Cameras or no cameras, Barack is the same man: honest, accountable, and committed. In short, in Barack Obama I found a leader I could trust. And last week, I cast the first vote of my life for Barack Obama and Joe Biden. With your help, they’ll bring change we can believe in to the White House on January 20, 2009.
I encourage you to watch these videos and spread them around to your contacts lists and on Facebook and MySpace:

John McCain’s advisers have stated that he cannot win without taking Pennsylvania. Now’s the time to “Fix Bayonets!” and make sure Pennsylvania’s 21 electoral votes go to Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Sign-up here to give a day to Barack on Get Out the Vote Weekend http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/pavetsGOTV November 1-4. Volunteering for just one shift, making phone calls or canvassing a neighborhood, will have tremendous impact. This is a once-in-a-lifetime leader for a once-in-a-lifetime moment in history. On November 5th, you’ll wake up with the satisfaction of knowing you did your part to build a better American future!
Please join us in making the next 10 days count.
