Super Tuesday Hangover + HOPE

After a couple of frenzied weeks in preparation for Super Tuesday, I'm finally gathering the energy to write! Wow. What an experience! This is the first campaign I've ever been active in, and it's been an incredible experience so far. I use "SO FAR" intentionally in the previous sentence, as I feel that my involvement as the next half of the states vote/caucus is still essential- although our opponent won in this state. While I am disappointed that Obama did not win in New Jersey, I know- because I was there EVERY DAY with so many other dedicated supporters- that I can say, with confidence, that we gave all that we could here. I remember thinking to myself, "Hey, I can't call people," because I'm too shy. Then, when it got down to the wire, I was on the phone with everyone else in our Edison, NJ office helping to get out the vote. My conclusion: if each of us is willing to step out of our comfort zone, we will be able to make a difference. Please think about not only us, but the world. And also about the future of our country- the country we are preparing and leaving behind us for future generations. Barack Obama is the best chance to return this country to being better than it was when we were born. We can do this together. No cynics, no swiftboats, no super delegates/amount of PAC/lobbyist money can change that fact. "We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." Amen, President Obama! Oh, YES WE CAN!
