I am a strong supporter and have been since the webcast in Iowa last year. I am excited about the nomination victory and the opportunity to witness the inauguration of President Obama. I do have a concern, however, about the consideration of Hillary Clinton as a VP running mate for a number of reasons:
1) Being pressured to choose someone who did not (could not) win, but is still making threats/power plays.
2) She is clearly a sore loser, and I haven't seen anything to suggest that she can be trusted.
3) Her lack of prudent judgment (ex. campaign failures--financial and choosing right people) and CLINGING to a lost cause--seems very inflexible for aligning with the true leader's vision.
4) Her husband and his lack of decorum and prudent judgment. Need I say MSM?
5) She would be a deviation from the consistent platform of change from politics as usual--remember the special interests and negativity.
6) It would also be contradictory to choose her in light of her "divisiveness"--a label she has earned publicly, and a characteristic that Obama has consistently criticized.
Nevermind all the things about the Clintons' past that I don't know. For these reasons, I have to say that I will lose a considerable amount of respect for Senator Obama if he chooses Hillary Clinton as a running mate. The majority support gained is from people who chose Obama. I would expect that a great amount of Clinton supporters would vote Obama in November with a respectable, well-chosen running mate. Please, do not be pressured into choosing Hillary Clinton. The world is still watching.
